Justin Hartley Reveals Who Will Return In ‘Tracker’ Season 2
The first season of Tracker was a hit. The new Justin Hartley action series received good ratings and a second-season renewal. There are big expectations for the new season, including questions about whether two big guest stars from Tracker Season 1 will return.
In a recent interview, Hartley talked about the possible return of Jensen Ackles and Melissa Roxburgh.
Justin Hartley Talks Returning Season 2 Stars
Justin Hartley is promoting the second season of his show Tracker, and he has some big news. The first season saw Hartley’s Colter Shaw deal with his past, including coming to terms with his siblings. While he and his sister had a decent relationship, he was estranged from his brother until they worked together in Season 1.
Melissa Roxburgh played his sister Dory. Jensen Ackles played his brother Russell. However, there is a big problem with Tracker Season 2. Roxburgh and Ackles just picked up new lead roles on other TV shows, making some fans think they might not return.
While on his promotional tour for the show, Hartley addressed these concerns. According to Hartley, Ackles will definitely be back as Russell. It might not be more than an episode or two, but he will be in Season 2. As for Roxburgh’s Dory, Hartley also said she would be back.
“Her show ends [production] way before we end so we can bring her back in the latter episodes of our show,” Hartley said (via TV Insider). “And then Jennifer Morrison‘s coming back to direct Episode 6. I’m sure her character will be back.”
Morrison played Lizzy, Colter’s former love interest. In Season 1, Hartley and Morrison had a This is Us reunion as Colter helped Lizzy discover what happened to her sister.
Roxburgh has signed on to lead the NBC midseason drama The Hunting Party, while Ackles will star in the forthcoming Amazon thriller Countdown.
Who Won’t Be Back In Tracker Season 2?
While the big special guest stars will return in Tracker Season 2, one regular character won’t return. Robin Weigert will not return as a series regular for the second season of the Justin Hartley-led series.
Robin Weigert co-starred as Teddi Bruin in Season 1. She was one of Colter’s handlers and was married to his fellow handler, Velma. While Teddi is leaving the show, Velma will be back. This makes it a little ominous to guess what is going to happen to the character to write her out of the show.
