Why didn’t production stop him from appearing on the show with Jenn Tran? Keep reading to find out more about what is being said.
Sources Close To Bachelorette Production Speak On Devin Strader’s Past
Entertainment Weekly spoke to sources close to Bachelorette production who are speaking out on Devin Strader’s criminal past. How could his criminal history slip through the cracks of their intense vetting process?
The source says, “We take the safety of our contestants very seriously and make every effort to conduct thorough diligence. As exhaustive as our vetting process is, this protective order did not surface in our searches.”
According to the report, the restraining order filed by his ex in 2017 was originally sealed. However, it is now unsealed and much of the information is public record. Part of the past restraining order stems from him being arrested for breaking into her apartment. She returned home from a trip to find her place was ransacked. His ex who is unnamed and wants to remain unknown at this point says a diamond necklace given to her by Strader was missing after the break-in.
Devin was arrested on burglary charges. He ultimately pleaded guilty to charges of criminal trespass and simple criminal damage to property of less than $500, and received one year of unsupervised probation.
It Gets Deeper
Of course, the burglary wasn’t all that happened to land Devin Strader in the subject line of a restraining order. A handwritten report by his ex claimed that Devin had once beat on her door screaming at her. She alleged that he did abuse her in ways such as “spit on me and threw his drink on me at Pelicans game in front of everyone in the crowd,” and “put me in a chokehold covering my mouth.”
According to the reports, Devin lived two doors down from his ex-girlfriend. She later said he violated the restraining order multiple times. One of those times was that he stood in the street outside her apartment and set fire to something that is believed to be the restraining order.
So far neither Devin Strader nor Jenn Tran have commented on the surfaced reports.
What do you think about all of these past actions of Devin’s resurfacing? Do you think the show should have a tougher background check?

Seems like they do not do enough checking on contestants. Jenn should never had him in the mix. This really scary.
