‘Mama June’ Pumpkin & Josh Efird Failing To Co-Parent?
Are Mama June: Family Crisis stars, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird and her estranged husband, Josh Efird failing to co-parent? It appears that way based on cryptic postings from Pumpkin, herself. She, along with her new man, Darrin Kitchens, loves to reshare messages and memes. Yet, they seem directed at people in their lives and the recent ones Pumpkin has put on her Facebook appear to reflect her situation with Josh. Keep reading for more details.
Pumpkin & Josh Efird Failing To Co-Parent?
It has not been an easy road to parenting with Pumpkin and Josh Efird. She was just seventeen when she welcomed their first daughter, Ella. More so, Pumpkin never wanted to be a teen mother but it happened and she loved Ella. Then, she got custody of her younger sister, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson. At the time, she and Josh were newly married but his job seemed to keep him away a lot. To Mama June: From Not to Hot viewers, this was a problem. They worked through it and welcomed three more children, Bentley, Stella, and Sylus.
Unfortunately, their marriage came to an end when Pumpkin filed for divorce on August 1st, 2024. She claimed it was mutual though that is unclear as she also was allegedly having an affair with Josh’s cousin, Darrin Kitchens. Mama June explained Pumpkin and Josh’s custody schedule and how they rotate their time. Now, there seems to be more trouble in paradise regarding balancing the kids. Pumpkin posted this on her Facebook page which raised eyebrows:

Those two posts caused followers to wonder if Pumpkin and Josh Efird were failing to co-parent. Were they having issues and more so, why would they struggle if they cared so much for their kids’ wellbeing? This led to a Reddit thread where followers spoke out:
- What really pisses me off is that she is putting it out there for everyone to see.
- I wish she would just shut up for the LOVE OF FLUFFY KITTENS!
- What a mess..poor kiddos . No chance
Fans just wanted Pumpkin to stay away from social media with the baby daddy drama and let the kids heal.
It’s Going To Get Worse
Followers also noted that it was only a matter of time before Pumpkin and Josh Efird’s cousin, Darrin Kitchens, broke up. Then, she would be on social media expecting everyone to feel bad for her:
- The children are the real victims of pumpkins cuzbin lover syndrome. Once the honeymoon phase wears off, she’ll be crying and expecting people to feel sorry for her
- This is all your fault, Lauryn. You jumped into your cuzbins arms and didn’t think about your kids.
There is also the fear that their four kids will one day see the drama and it will break them. Hopefully, someone will advise Pumpkin to stay off of social media with her problems. However, that has never stopped her before.
