Demi Moore Says Bruce Willis Is In ‘A Stable Place’ At Home
Demi Moore has been a large part of her ex-husband Bruce Willis’s life since his dementia diagnosis forced him to retire from acting and step out of the spotlight. Demi did various interviews about her upcoming horror movie, The Substance, and discussed how Bruce is doing.
Here is what Demi had to say about Bruce and his current condition.
Demi Moore Says Bruce Willis Is In ‘A Stable Place’
Demi Moore was on the press tour for her new body horror movie The Substance. Directed by Coralie Fargeat, the film tells the story of a TV aerobics show star (Moore) fired when she turns 50. She then gets a mysterious invention that creates a younger, beautiful version of the user, which she uses to horrific results.
While the interviews talked about the new movie, they also wanted to know about Bruce Willis. While Demi and Bruce divorced 24 years ago, she remains part of his life as he battles frontotemporal dementia, which has no cure.
When asked about Bruce, Demi said that she goes to spend time with him every time she is in Los Angeles. “Given the givens, he is in a stable place,” Demi said about her ex-husband. “What I say to my kids is you meet them where they’re at. You don’t hold on to who they were or what you want them to be, but who they are in this moment.”
Demi and Bruce have three daughters, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. “When I’m in L.A., I go over every week, and I really treasure the time that we all share,” Demi said.
Bruce Willis’s Kids Say It Is Important To Talk About Their Dad
Bruce Willis’s daughters also post all the time, giving fans updates on their dad. They said that it is important because Bruce wants people suffering from the same disease as he is to know they are not alone.
Rumer Willis has a daughter of her own now, and she ensures that Bruce and his granddaughter can spend time together while they still can. Louetta, who is now 17 months old, has learned how to walk and Rumer said that Bruce seems happy to spend time with her.
“I think if there’s any way sharing our experience brings hope — whatever comes forward as a family — that can have an effect and bring any sort of hope, comfort to someone else experiencing that, then to me, that’s… everything,” Rumer said.
On top of Demi Moore, Bruce’s current wife Emma Heming Willis, is there to help care for Bruce during these tough battles.
