‘America’s Got Talent’ Fans Believe Sofia Vergara Is Injured
Fans watched the semifinals on this week’s episode of America’s Got Talent. Each competitor turned in an incredible performance, and after some of the performances, several of the talent received standing ovations from the fans and judges. However, fans noticed something wrong at the judges’ table with Sofia Vergara.

Is Sofia Vergara Injured On America’s Got Talent
This week’s episode of America’s Got Talent had some massive performances. When Brent Street, the Australian dance troupe, finished their performance, everyone gave them a standing ovation. However, while three judges joined the praise, one remained sitting down the entire time, albeit clapping along with everyone else.
Sofia Vergara didn’t stand up for that ovation. However, she didn’t stand up at all during the episode, no matter how good the performers were. She has often given standing ovations in the past, so it was weird seeing her staying seated the entire episode, never standing up once.
This led many fans to guess something was wrong with Sofia (via Reddit).
- “I’m sure there’s a reason. She’s probably injured.”
- “Wardrobe malfunction possibly?”
- “She has knee problems so that could be it.”
- “I was surprised she didn’t stand up for the guests. Maybe she didn’t like it? But I feel like you should stand up for old acts.”
Sofia Vergara Did Have Recent Knee Surgery
Sofia Vergara has a new boyfriend named Justin Saliman. Unlike her ex, Joe Manganiello, who was an actor, Justin has a very different line of work. He is a doctor.
In April, Sofia posted that she had knee surgery, and it was her boyfriend, an orthopedic surgeon, who she bragged took care of her after the surgery. While the surgery was in April, there is a chance that she still might be dealing with pain and other problems months later.
However, there is also a chance it was a wardrobe malfunction. Whatever the problem was, no one ever mentioned it. With that said, while Sofia never stood up and cheered during the episode, it was clear she was enjoying all the performances.
The America’s Got Talent semifinals saw 10 acts make it to the finals. There were four that the judges sent with golden buzzers. These include Sebastián and Sonia (Simon Cowell), AIRFOOTWORKS (Howie Mandel), Hakuna Matata Acrobatics (Sofia Vergara), and Dee Dee Simon (Heidi Klum).
The semifinalists that the fans moved on include Roni Sagi & Rhythm, Sky Elements, Learnmore Jonasi, Solange Kardinaly, Richard Goodall, and Brent Street.
