‘AGT’ Simon Cowell Apologizes To Finalist, Why?
America’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell is big enough to admit when he was wrong. Throughout this season on AGT, Cowell wasn’t completely sold on the Australian dance crew Brent Street. However, after their most recent performance moved them to the finals, Cowell had to admit he was wrong.
Cowell apologized, and here is how it went down this week on AGT.
Simon Cowell Apologizes To Brent Street On AGT
Simon Cowell watched this week’s Brent Street performance with the rest of the judges and was in awe of the talent on hand. When it ended, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Cowell gave them a standing ovation, while Sofia Vergara also cheered, albeit while remaining sitting down.
Howie Mandel tried to tell Simon to sign them to a million-dollar deal because that is how good they are. However, Simon couldn’t hear because the fans were cheering so loudly. Simon was the first to speak when things started to quiet down and said the performance was unbelievable.
He then said he was sorry that he hadn’t given them the credit they really deserved on earlier episodes and performances. According to Simon, there can’t be a finale without Brent Stree there, giving them his ultimate seal of approval.
Howie Mandel even outright said Brent Street should win the entire competition this season. Heidi Klum gave more praise, saying that they always reinvent themselves and push the boundaries with their artistic performances.
Brent Street Was Also On A Prime Video Series
Brent Street is not only trying to win the grand prize and Vegas deal on America’s Got Talent, but they are also becoming more known worldwide thanks to Amazon Prime Video. The dance group was just on a recent series on the streaming network.
The series is called Dance Life, and the docuseries shows the students of Brent Street Academy as they create and perform in their dance careers. If they win on AGT and get the Vegas deal, they might have built up enough of a reputation to almost guarantee sold-out shows.
While Brent Street is a dance troupe on AGT, the performers are from the top dance academy in Australia. While they teach countless students in their halls, only a select few manage to have high-profile careers.
The huge performance was good enough, and Brent Street is, in fact, moving on to the finals of this America’s Got Talent season.
America’s Got Talent Season 19 airs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays on NBC at 8 PM ET.
