Rumors are flying around Bachelor Nation that Grant Ellis has been replaced and is no longer the 2025 Bachelor. Is there any truth to this?
A website published the information alleging that something had come up that was too big for production with Ellis to move forward. According to the site, specifics are not known but it forced them to stop production on the upcoming season and reassign the lead to someone else.
They claimed to have insider sources sharing the information. The website even went so far as to state that the network had released a short statement confirming the news.
As of now, this appears to all be fictional information. Filming for Grant’s season has not even started yet. Plus, the network has not said a word about changing out their lead. So, it appears this is all fake news. Grant Ellis IS STILL The Bachelor.

Filming for Grant Ellis’ season of The Bachelor should begin toward the end of September. He was announced as the new lead after he didn’t find love with Jenn Tran on The Bachelorette.
Producers shocked fans when choosing Grant as he is not from the final four men on Jenn’s season. However, many are here for it and can’t wait to see if he can find the woman of his dreams.
He will be the second black man the show has cast with Matt James having been the first. He is a former college basketball player for New York’s Iona University and Albertus Magnus College in Connecticut.
An unspecified injury had ended his basketball career and he decided to pursue other things. He said, “But when life knocks you down you have to be able to pivot. So I ended up getting into the finance field, and it’s been off to the races from there. The only thing I’m missing right now is my person.”
Grant is 30 and is a day trader living in Houston.
