‘Teen Mom’ Tyler Baltierra Welcomes Battle With Carly’s Parents
Teen Mom stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have been bashing Carly’s adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa Davis, online. The pair seem to be doubling down and Tyler said that he would welcome a legal battle with Carly’s parents. Here is what has unfolded.
Tyler Baltierra Welcomes Legal Action From Carly’s Parents
On Wednesday, the Teen Mom stars both took to social media to do interviews about the adoption process. Tyler Baltierra answered several Q&A questions about the couple’s decision to speak out against Carly’s parents recently.
Brandon and Teresa cut off contact with Catelynn and Tyler. Earlier this week, Catelynn shared with her followers that Teresa blocked her from being able to send family updates to Carly through her phone.
Many Teen Mom fans questioned if Catelynn and Tyler were “spamming” Teresa with unwanted messages. Some people asked if Carly’s parents have ever tried to take any legal action to silence the couple. After all, the pair have drug their names through the mud online.
During his Q&A session, Tyler addressed questions about Brandon and Teresa taking legal action. “I would welcome that challenge, for sure,” he said on Instagram Live. Then, he told fans that Carly’s adoptive parents had not taken any legal action against them.
“I am not worried about that,” he said in the video. “I actually welcome that legal battle, like, please! I would love for that to be part of the story, if that is what [they] want. I don’t want that, but if that is something [they] would do, if [they’re] so worried about harming Carly, that would be really harming– in my opinion– to go that far and that route. To have that be a part of Carly’s adoption story, to [send us] a Cease and Desist. You’d have to have pretty valid evidence to make that happen.”
Teen Mom Stars Want Carly To See They Tried
In a separate interview with JordyCray, he clarified that he wouldn’t do anything to instigate a legal battle either. “I wouldn’t do anything legally. That really wouldn’t help anything,” Tyler stated. “I definitely wouldn’t, even if the opportunity was there.”
He also added that he wouldn’t ever try to challenge Carly’s adoption legally. In fact, he spoke about the fact that their adoption contract was not legally binding. So, Brandon and Teresa aren’t legally required to allow them to contact Carly.
That said, if Brandon and Teresa wanted to go the legal route to stop the Teen Mom stars from talking about them on the internet, they would have to give them a reason as to why they’ve been cut off.
“I would love to talk, I would love to see what they would say,” Tyler said. “If they tried to sue me or cease and desist and whatever the hell it would be, I would love to see the evidence for it. But I’m not worried about that at all.”
Earlier this week, Tyler explained to his followers on Instagram that he and his wife feel like they have been forced to post about the adoption on social media. He said that they want to be able to prove to Carly that they “always tried” to maintain communication with her.
“We have no way of getting this information to Carly when/if she seeks it out,” he wrote. “So that’s why we continue to use our platform as a way to get to her in case it’s needed, regardless of anyone’s opinions about it.”
