Savannah Chrisley Takes On A Lot
Savannah Chrisley had to take on a lot when her parents were arrested. Todd and Julie Chrisley were convicted of Tax evasion and fraud. This is something no one expected to happen. However, a lot of things fell onto their daughter, Savannah. She ended up getting legal guardianship of her two younger siblings, Chloe and Grayson. However, she had to learn how to be a parent to them in one of the hardest times of their lives. However, she has been strong and an amazing role model for her two younger siblings. Grayson has acknowledged her hard work several times.
She Struggled Financially After Parents Left Massive Debt
Savannah went through some big financial struggles when her parents went to prison. They left her with three mortgages to pay for. This is a lot for anyone to take on.
“People comment and will say, like, ‘Oh, I feel so sorry for you, living off of mom and daddy’s stolen money,’ and ‘You’re rich, it’s easy, stop trying to act like it’s so hard. I struggled. Like, I know what it feels like to not know how you’re going to pay your bills that month. ‘Cause I was left with three mortgages, and the lawyers, and kids. I was just getting into real estate, and, like, your first year, you’re pretty much, you know, like, working for every deal that you get. And that’s the thing, it’s like, people have this misconception that I’m sitting on millions of dollars and I’m like, ‘If you know where it is, please walk me to it. I would love to see it. But I know what it’s like to struggle. I used to not go have to go to the grocery store and look at — I would just buy whatever. I was at a point to where I had to tell the kids no to stuff. And I put their needs before mine. I don’t know how I did it, but somehow I was able to do it.”
Fans did not realize that Savannah struggled so much financially after her parents were arrested. Also, everyone knew there were emotional hardships, but not financial ones.
It seems that she was in charge of three mortgages. This is hard for anyone to take on. This was not something she expected, and it hit her hard. However, Savannah was transparent about how she had to put her sibling’s needs before her own. She hated having to tell them no to stuff. Savannah wanted to give them everything they wanted.
