‘Sister Wives’ Meri Brown Feels ‘Sad’ For Kody Brown
Sister Wives star Meri Brown expresses sympathy for Kody during the latest preview of Season 19. Things fell apart between the two last season, leading to their split. Things haven’t been the same between the two since Meri’s catfishing scandal in 2015. They tried to work it out, but Kody couldn’t give Meri the love she sought. But despite their split, it seems the former first wife still somehow feels bad for everything that has happened. Keep reading to see why.
Sister Wives: Meri & Kody Brown’s Split
Meri had a bitter ending with Kody last season. She finally decided to call it quits with him, leaving Robyn devastated. Many viewers were even disturbed by how Robyn was there during Meri and Kody’s conversation about their future together. According to Meri, she decided to put her attention on her business in Utah, adding that they should go on being friends.
“I’m trying to be as honest as I possibly can without being a jackass,” Kody answered. The two had several arguments before Kody shared his perspective about the “act” he was doing for the family, adding that “performing my duty as a husband” was easy. “It wasn’t an act. It was performance. It was doing what I was supposed to. I’m sorry to call it an act,” the Sister Wives added.
Meri Feels Sad For Kody
TLC recently released a preview clip featuring Meri talking to her friend about her thoughts on calling it quits with Kody for good. According to the Sister Wives star, things were so great from the beginning of their marriage, adding that Kody was looking forward to a bright future with her. However, everything went downhill between them, especially when Robyn came into the picture. But despite their fallout, Meri Brown admitted that she “feels bad” for her ex-husband.
“I honestly feel sad for him if that’s what he’s having to tell himself to justify that he and I started this family. Like, why? Because Robyn was only 10 at the time? Twelve?” the reality TV personality said. Meri then had a confessional where she revealed Kody trying to push her out of the family to make it look like she’s the one who walked away, making him the “good” guy. But it seems Kody’s backfired, as three of his four wives ended up leaving.
Sister Wives: Fans Shared Their Thoughts On Meri Brown’s Sympathy For Kody
Some Sister Wives fans on Reddit also discussed the latest Season 19 preview. According to some, they don’t see anything wrong with what Meri Brown was saying. But some see her words as her way of saying how “pathetic” Kody was in his attempts to disavow his first three marriages. Meanwhile, several commenters think Meri is still holding a grudge and she’s doing everything she can to suppress that anger.
- “Can’t help but think she has tons of suppressed anger that she’ll do anything to keep suppressed. Let it out, Meri.”
- “He doesn’t deserve your sympathy after the way he treated you, Meri!”
- “I interpreted it as She feels sad for him that he’s delusional enough to think he got stuck with meri and Christine/janelle.. when Robyn was his soul mate. She was 12 when meri and him got together.”
- “I don’t see anything wrong with what she said. She’s held her vows in high regard, believed him when he said they’d renew their relationship in Flagstaff and had hope he’d get through this phase and there’d be some sort of relationship on the other side. She was delulu but she certainly can rest easy knowing she tried her hardest.”
