When Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani got together years ago, many of their respective fanbases did not think that they would make it as a couple for the long haul. While it’s true that sometimes opposites can attract, in some cases, if people’s lifestyles are too different, they can’t always successfully find a middle ground to make things work.
In Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s case, finding a way to merge Shelton’s country lifestyle with Gwen’s love of everything glitz and glam of the big city proved to be a monumental undertaking. However, over the years, they have certainly found some surprising ways to make things work.

Over the years, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have navigated everything from blending families to dealing with split rumors from the tabloids, and more. Through it all, the couple have stood together, all through the absolute worst of it.
However, according to a recent insider, even all of these years later, there’s one thing about Blake Shelton that the No Doubt singer absolutely cannot stand.
It turns out, the one hobby that Blake has that grinds Gwen’s gears the wrong way is his passion for hunting. If Gwen had it completely her way, she would prefer it if her husband stopped killing things for sport altogether.
Gwen Absolutely Detests Blake’s Hunting Hobby
Of course, it doesn’t get much more country than going hunting. Just about every country music star out there likes to relax and unwind by hunting something for sport. While it may seem archaic to some, it’s still a major pastime for a lot of people, including Blake. Gwen Stefani, however, is not a fan.
Speaking to Life & Style about the issue, an insider recently dished: “They agreed to disagree about his hunting back when they first got together, but that doesn’t mean it’s an easy thing for Gwen to handle.”
The insider went on, adding: “She’s a huge animal rights person, and has been mostly vegan for a long time, so it’s pretty hard to have her husband out there killing animals for a good time. She’s certainly tried to get him to see her point, but it’s not something he will ever back down on. Still, the least he could do is be a little more low-key about it. He seems to get a kick out of rubbing it in her face, even though he knows it makes her sick to her stomach.”
In some cases, you can’t win them all. In this case, specifically, it doesn’t look like Blake or Gwen will change their positions on the matter of hunting anytime soon.
