CBS Releases Photos From ‘NCIS’ Season 22 Premiere: What About Knight?
CBS has shared some photos from the premiere episode of NCIS Season 22 entitled “Empty Nest.” What do those photos reveal? Most of all, what about Katrina Law’s character Agent Jessica Knight? CBS Releases First Photos Of NCIS Season 22 Premiere ‘Empty Nest’
On Monday, TV Insider reported that CBS released the first photos from the NCIS Season 22 premiere episode entitled “Empty Nest.” The logline reads, “NCIS searches for a missing undercover agent in the midst of an active hostage situation.
The photos that accompany it includes McGee (Sean Murray), Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), along with Vance (Rocky Carroll), and Kasie (Diona Reasonover), as well as McGee deep in a crisis situation in Kasie’s forensic scientist’s lab.
Lastly, there is a photo of Agent Jessica Knight, all geared up, with her weapon ready. Yes, Katrina Law is back. But, for how long?
Although CBS has shared these photos and a brief summary, they are not filling in any details. For example, how long has it been since Jessica left the group to go out west for her new job as chief of REACT training officer? Next, why is Knight in D.C.? Is the undercover agent a member of her team? Is there a more sinister plot happening here?
Most of all, where is Jimmy (Brian Dietzen)? Have he and Knight overcome their obstacles, or are things still on shaky ground? These are some of the reasons this storyline has made fans of the long-running series wonder what is next.
Moreover, fans could safely assume that Knight will be in the picture all season. Will she return to the team, or will the writers keep her in for a bigger storyline?
Who Is Lily?
At the end of NCIS Season 21, Gary Cole’s character Parker was seriously injured. It was then that he imagined he saw a young girl named Lily. Although he later told Knight that he did not know who she was, it seems she was someone from his past. Will this be resolved in the episode “Empty Nest”? Fans will have to wait a few weeks to find out.
