‘Teen Mom’ Jade Cline Heartbroken For Amber Portwood’s Daughter
Teen Mom star Jade Cline is heartbroken for her castmate, Amber Portwood’s daughter, Leah Shirley. There has been a lot of debate regarding how involved Amber has been in Leah’s life. It had gotten to the point where Leah wanted to be adopted by her stepmother, Kristina. So, what message is Jade sending to the teenager? Keep reading for more details.
Teen Mom Jade Cline Heartbroken For Amber Portwood’s Daughter
Jade Cline is close enough to Amber Portwood that she had her as a guest at her wedding. Amber attended with her ex-fiance and baby daddy, Gary Shirley. She left the reception with a female friend of Jade’s but popped up on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter the following week with a new man, Gary Wayt. Around the same time, Amber caught an immense amount of heat for the way she treated her daughter, Leah. She attended Leah’s 15th birthday dinner and solely wanted to talk about herself but her daughter did not care.
Therefore, Amber proceeded to call her names leading fans and co-stars to call her out for bad behavior and poor mothering. Eventually, Leah cut her mother out and stopped responding to her. Amber’s ex and Leah’s father, Gary tried to encourage her to keep reaching out to their daughter and never give up. Unfortunately, Amber was combative about that. Leah even shared she wanted her stepmother to adopt her. Amber and Leah had a sweet moment but Leah had blocked her mother on social media and their relationship is severely strained.
Jade Cline can relate to that as her parents are addicts and it has been touch and go for years. More so, her mother had a court date right before her wedding so it was unclear if she would even make it to their wedding. She recently sent out a message, sharing Leah’s pain. Jade understands Leah and the feeling that she is “not loved or good enough.” Furthermore, she noted how damaging it can be to a child when it is neverending.
A Great Example
Teen Mom followers who saw what Jade Cline had to say thought she was a great example as she has been through so much with her parents. She can more than relate to Leah and is speaking from experience:
- Yes!🙌 jade is a good voice to stand for Leah. She lived it but SO much worse.
- Don’t like her but I have to agree here because what do you want Leah to do keep giving chances and be let down that creates such a brokenness inside.
Others wanted Maci Bookout and Catelynn Lowell to apologize to both the audience and Leah for constantly defending Amber Portwood. They have interfered and, at times, only thought about what was best for Amber and not Leah. That has rubbed viewers the wrong way.

I think Jade is right. There’s only so much a child can take. It’s always about the man with Amber, and herself. She needs to start thinking about her daughter and stop thinking about men for once in her life, but she never does. Every guy she’s with it’s always the same. Children want their parents to show them they want to be with them, to show they love them, care about them. Amber doesn’t. I think it’s too late and Christina needs to adopt Leah since she’s been there for her. Leah knows that, that’s why she wants the adoption.
I think your right Diana hall above comment! I used to love Amber but once I seen how she was with Leah,I was like WOW! She needs her Mother! Specially getting older and what not! All those hormones are interacting with her personality and she needs stability and for her Mom to SUIT UP AND SHOW up for her! Not just when it’s right for Amber! I’m glad she got clean and went to treatment and all so she no longer has an excuse as to why she’s not being a better Mother to Leah! If she doesn’t act now and FAST, She’s gonna lose her forever!
I can’t understand how a mother doesn’t want to see her daughter and only cares about herself. Wtf
