Pat Sajak Shows Off Pecs & Abs In New Photo
Maggie Sajak works as the social media correspondent for Wheel Of Fortune following her dad’s exit. On Wednesday, she provided fans with an update on her father, which included a photo of him after he got out of the pool.
Pat Sajak looked way different than he had ever appeared on television. He was missing his sharp suit and tie. Instead, he was sporting a red pair of swim trunks and showed off his surprisingly fit body. The 77-year-old had his hair ruffled and was smiling at the camera.
His daughter shared the photo on her Instagram Story. Over the photo, she wrote, “Swimming… If sitting in the shallow end counts as swimming.”
That’s not the only update Wheel Of Fortune fans have received about Pat Sajak in recent months. Maggie said that many people have been asking her what her dad has been up to since retiring from the game show after more than 40 years.
She took to Instagram to share some of the highlights in her Stories.
One clip showed her dad at a Los Angeles Dodgers game. Another photo showed him reading a book about the History of the World. A third snap revealed that he’s spent some time “babysitting” a puppy, and a fourth showed him standing in a kitchen in front of nine hoagie sandwiches.
A New Era For Wheel Of Fortune
In June 2023, Pat Sajak revealed that he was going to retire from his hosting position. As Wheel Of Fortune fans know, Pat filmed him final episode of the game show on April 5 and it aired on June 7. He was admittedly emotional about departing from the show after more than four decades.
“Well, the time has come to say goodbye,” he said. “I have a few thanks and acknowledgments before I go, and I want to start with all watching out there. It’s been an incredible privilege to be invited into millions of homes night after night, year after year, decade after decade.”
He continued, “I always felt that the privilege came with the responsibility to keep this daily half-hour a safe place for family fun. No social issues, no politics, nothing embarrassing I hope, just a game.”
The Wheel Of Fortune host said that, over the years, the show became more than just a game. People have revealed how Wheel helped their kids learn their letters. Viewers from other countries were able to work on their English by watching the game show. More than that, Wheel Of Fortune brought people together for generations.
“What an honor to play even a small part in all of that. Thank you for allowing me into your lives,” he concluded his speech.
