‘GMA’ Robin Roberts Rushes Off Set In Tears
Good Morning America fans know Robin Roberts to typically be cool, calm, and collected. However, she was recently shown rushing off the set in tears during an interview. The GMA host was put in the “hot seat” alongside Hot Ones host Sean Evans. Here is what unfolded.
Robin Roberts Takes On Hot Ones On GMA
Sean Evans interviews various celebrities on his show Hot Ones. As the conversation continues, they eat progressively hotter wings. Rather than having Robin Roberts come to him, Sean appeared on Good Morning America Thursday morning.
He appeared on GMA to talk about his viral internet show, Hot Ones. Sean discussed some of the celebrities he’d love to see on the show. He also talked about his interview methods and how the show has changed in the last 10 years.
After chatting with Sean for a while, Robin Roberts got up from her regular seat on GMA and joined Sean at the Hot Ones table. Robin was ready to set the record for the first person to eat wings for the viral internet show early in the morning. Honestly, it’s something that could mess up your day, but Robin faced the challenge.
Robin shared with audience members that it had been a dream of hers to be on the hot wing show. At the same time, she admitted that she was nervous about doing it live. Usually, the episodes are taped, edited, and posted online.
After taking a bite of the first wing, Robin Roberts looked surprised. She said the first wing had some kick to it, but she was determined that she wouldn’t tap out. The Good Morning America host had to tap into the milk right away.
She leaned on for a bite of the second wing, and she was admittedly not doing too well. ” I almost said a bad word!” Robin said. “Yes! This is waking me up.”
Robin Rushes Off Set To Find A Bathroom
Because this was a shortened version of the regular Hot Ones interviews, there were only three wings. As she bit into the last hot wing, she began stuttering. She stopped chewing the wing and started to dab her eyes with her napkin, reaching for ice cream to help cool her mouth off.
The GMA host admitted that her nose was running and, soon enough, she was running too. Before the show could cut to commercial break, Robin Roberts got up from her seat, leaving Sean. She turned to a crew member and asked, “Where’s the bathroom? Please.”
Fellow GMA hosts Michael Strahan, George Stephanopoulos, and Lara Spencer could be heard laughing at Robin’s reaction.
Clips from her Hot Ones debut were shared on Instagram where fans praised Robin’s bravery. “Great job, Robin!!!!!!” one person commented. Another joked, “I would’ve loved to hear her say a bad word.”
“Has there been a more adorable hot ones guest experience? What a legend!” a third person chimed in, while a fourth wrote, “Love Robin. Way to go.”
