‘Days Of Our Lives’ Star Eric Martsolf Talks Brady’s Downfall
Eric Martsolf has taken Brady Black through many twists and turns over the years. He opened up about the Days Of Our Lives character’s latest downfall. Keep reading for all the details.
Fiona & Brady’s Unlikely Bond
Brady Black found himself in a compromising position after Theresa (Emily O’Brien) and Alex’s (Robert Scott Wilson) wedding blew up. He woke up the next morning with a strange bedfellow. It turns out that he had slept with Xander’s (Paul Telfer) estranged mother, who came to town to out Theresa’s scheme about Alex’s paternity.
Xander’s mom, Fiona, revealed to a shocked guest list that Xander was Victor’s son, not Alex. She winded up in bed with Brady after Theresa was arrested.
Eric Martsolf, who has played Brady Black on DOOL for fifteen years, opened up to Soap Opera Digest about Brady and Fiona’s connection.
“They formed a friendship. They enabled one another to be themselves around each other. It’s much like the early history of Theresa and Brady, where they allowed each other to drink and use drugs, and they accepted that about one another. Fiona comes along and is like, “Hey, I’ll make you a cocktail. I’ll even serve it to you, but don’t tell my son Xander that I’m doing this, because I am supposed to be clean as well.” So they take solace in that.”
Unfortunately, the friendship has come back to haunt Brady. He was in the car when Fiona ran over Sarah, leaving her partially paralyzed. However, Brady confessed to the crime.
Days Of Our Lives Star Explains Why Brady Is Eager To Take Rap
According to the actor, Brady Black is a stand-up guy despite his failures. Eric Martsolf revealed why he thinks Brady confessed to a crime he doesn’t remember committing after his family advised him not to confess.
“It was about standing up for what he believes is right. But it was primarily about showing his son and his daughter what kind of man he is, that when you screw up you have to suffer the consequences and face the wrath of your punishment. “
He added that Brady wanted to show his children the importance of taking accountability. Eric Martsolf said that the arrest is a turning point for Brady in his battle with addiction.
“It’s a turning point in the sense that he’s losing complete faith in himself just as a decent person. He’s ready to give up and go to jail for this. He’s okay with it.”
