Artem Chigvintsev Brings Wife, Nikki Garcia Back Amid DV Drama?
Has former DWTS pro, Artem Chigvintsev brought his wife, Nikki Garcia back amid all of the domestic violence drama? The two have been distancing themselves since his arrest on Thursday, August 29th. Artem Chigvintsev Brings Wife, Nikki Garcia Back Amid DV Drama?
Nikki Garcia was always Artem Chigvintsev’s biggest supporter when it came to his time on DWTS. They had been paired up on the 25th season of the hit reality dancing competition. That was in 2017 but the duo did not make their love official until early 2019. By the end of the year, they had gotten engaged and, in 2020, they welcomed their son, Matteo into the world. In 2022, Artem and Nikki tied the knot which was featured on an E! reality series. For years, Nikki had gone by ‘Nikki Bella’ along with her twin sister, Brie and they were big in the wrestling world.
Whenever Artem danced with someone new on DWTS, she shared it on her social media. She would also encourage her “Bella Army” to vote for him and whomever he was partnered with. Unfortunately, their marriage was not all it appeared. They were in counseling back in 2021, but it was not until that fateful night that it became violent. Artem claimed Nikki threw shoes at him, but the biggest issue was that there was a child there. She started to search for a divorce lawyer and stopped wearing her wedding ring. He then erased her from his social media but has that changed?
According to People, Artem Chigvintsev had removed Nikki Garcia’s name from his Instagram. It linked to her account and had a wedding ring next to it. Artem did so after the arrest, making a statement. He has since put her name back on there, as of Saturday, September 7th. Nothing has been said about the issue aside from Nikki’s rep:
“This is a private matter and Nikki asks for privacy for her and her family at this time.”
No More DWTS
Though Artem Chigvintsev still says he is a DWTS pro dancer, he is not on the show for Season 33 and was not set to be a pro for that season. The forty-two-year-old has been on twelve seasons and has won one season with Kaitlyn Bristowe. In his season with Nikki Garcia, they came in 7th, and in Season 32, he came in 4th with Charity Lawson. It is unclear if he would have made any appearances in Season 33 had this not happened or how it will impact him in the future.
