Jenn Tran Glad Devin Strader Was Forced To Watch Proposal
Bachelorette Jenn Tran wrapped up her journey as the first Asian-American lead on Tuesday night. She was clearly emotional sitting on stage revealing to the world that Devin broke up with her, ending their engagement. Since they were already broken up, they did not show the special proposal at the final rose ceremony until both she and Devin Strader were on stage. She didn’t seem happy they were showing the proposal as she sat crying. However, now, she is glad he was forced to watch, why? Keep reading to find out more.
Jenn Tran Glad Devin Strader Had To Watch Her Propose Again
Bachelorette Jenn Tran has been making media rounds after her finale aired on Tuesday night this week. One part of the finale that has been talked about endlessly is making Jenn rewatch her historical proposal to Devin Strader.
Fans were not happy and felt this was intentionally cruel treatment in regard to Jenn. Several have spoken out against it including former Bachelor Ben Higgins and her brother James Tran. However, in an interview with Glamour, Jenn revealed that she knew the proposal was going to be shown beforehand.
Plus, Jenn admits she is glad they showed it. She wanted Devin to have to watch it all again. She revealed to the news outlet that even though it was hard, it was important he watch that part.
Jenn said, “He just says things all the time and I don’t even know if he’s been watching everything back and really listening to the words he’s saying, because his apologies have been so nonexistent. I’m like, Why don’t you watch this back and listen to the words that you’re saying to me and realize why I’m so hurt by what you did? But it was definitely not an easy thing to do, and I didn’t think I was going to be so emotional.”
She Wanted To Run Offstage
Jenn Tran also admits that she wasn’t quite sure what to do while the proposal aired. She had thought about running off stage in her head. However, she thought that would make a bigger scene so she just sat there. Really though she didn’t know what to do at that moment being so emotional.
Since that night, she has been preparing for Dancing With the Stars which was a last-minute surprise for her. She said it’s been a good distraction.
