Tori Spelling Dishes On Inspiration For ‘DWTS’ Performances
For years, many Dancing With The Stars fans suspected Tori Spelling would compete. However, each and every year, the cast list came out without her name. Many viewers felt pleasantly surprised when Tori joined the rest of the Season 33 contestants on Good Morning America this week.
So what inspired her to finally join after turning it down so many times? See what she had to say.
Tori Spelling Relied On A Little Help From Her Friends Ahead Of DWTS
Actress Tori Spelling is no stranger to the public eye. However, ballroom dancing on national television is an entirely different ballgame. Like many other contestants, she feels a little apprehensive about competing.
But with some inspiration and encouragement from her friends, Tori decided this was her year.
“I had been offered it before and I wanted to do it so bad — I’m such a huge fan — and I was just too terrified to ever say yes,” Tori shared in a new interview with PEOPLE. Rumor had it that she was part of the Season 32 cast, but ultimately that never transpired.
However, her friendship with Brian Austin Green gave her the inspiration and courage to finally say yes. Green’s fiancee Sharna Burgess competed as a pro dancer on the show for years. Sharna and Bobby Bones won the Mirrorball Trophy in Season 27.
“From the beginning I was like, ‘Sharna, who do you think I’m gonna get as a partner?’” Tori continued.
“And she literally went through everybody and was saying, ‘He’s great, and he would work for you,’ and she totally, when she gave me the lowdown, she was like, ‘This one would be perfect for you,’” the actress added, pointing at her partner Pasha.
She added that she was thrilled when she learned Pasha Pashkov was indeed her dance partner.

Can This Team Make It To The Season 33 Finale?
Although Pasha Pashkov is an incredibly talented professional dancer, he had a string of bad luck for several seasons in a row. From Seasons 29-31, he came in second to last place with his celebrity partners. However, things changed in Season 32 when he teamed up with Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix. The pair made it to the finale and ultimately finished in third place together.
With Tori Spelling at his side, DWTS fans hope to see Pasha make it to the finale once again.
