Zoo Owner Claims Amy Slaton Never Attacked By Camel
Was Amy Slaton’s camel attack a hoax all along? New reports indicate that a camel never bit the TLC star at all.
This week, news broke that police arrested Amy and another person, Brian Scott Lovvorn, at a zoo in Tennessee for drug possession. The police showed up after Amy alleged that a camel bit her and she required emergency services. However, there may be more to the story.
Amy Slaton’s Day At The Zoo Turns Into A Nightmare
A day of family fun at the zoo for Amy Slaton and her family turned into a disaster. The 1000-Lb Sisters star reportedly sustained a serious camel bite before police arrested her for drug charges.
Now, the owner of the Tennessee Safari Park is refuting Amy Slaton’s claims about the camel bite. Others in the park saw her wandering through the park using a t-shirt as a bandage for the wound. But according to the park owner, her injury was not indicative of a bite in any shape or form.
“We dispute that Amy was bitten by a camel because there is no bruising,” Claude Conley reportedly told The Sun. “She cut her arm on something, it’s not consistent with an animal bite. Her boyfriend or the man she was with [Lovvorn] was acting crazy, screaming and yelling and all kinds of stuff. He got mad that the police came out there because he just wanted the ambulance to come.”
“They started smelling his vehicle and with the way he was acting, that’s when they arrested him,” Conley continued. “My manager was there and Brian [Lovvorn] was yelling about someone to come help him and wanted to get some bandages.”
TMZ reports the park owners could not find any video surveillance of a camel biting Amy Slaton. She was also unable to recall specific details about the attack, drawing suspicion.
Were Illegal Substances Partially Responsible For The Incident?
It’s not currently known if Amy Slaton or Brian Lovvorn were under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the alleged incident. However, the police did arrest the two on possession charges after finding marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms in the car, as per TMZ.
After the arrest, the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department detailed the incident on their Facebook page.
“Deputies were requested to respond to Safari Park where a guest allegedly was bitten by a camel. Upon arrival, deputies were immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle,” the department shared. “Amy Slaton Halterman, 1,000-Lb. Sisters reality TV star, was arrested on illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI, and two counts of child endangerment. Brian Scott Lovvorn was in the vehicle as well and is facing the same charges. Both subjects have been booked into the Crockett County Jail.”
