Nikki Garcia Searching For Divorce Lawyer After Artem’s Arrest
Nikki Garcia and Artem Chigvintsev appear to possibly be facing divorce after new reports have surfaced. The former WWE star made her way to Las Vegas over the weekend to host the Chestnut/Kobayashi hot dog eating contest. There are many signs pointing toward divorce. Nikki Garcia Reportedly Looking For Attorney
TMZ shared Tuesday morning that Nikki Garcia or Nikki Bella as she is known in the wrestling world, has been searching for a divorce attorney. The news comes just days after her husband and Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Artem Chigvintsev was arrested in California on charges of felony domestic violence.
According to other reports, there must be physical signs of injury in order for a domestic violence charge to become a felony.
After reports of the arrest surfaced, Nikki’s rep asked the public to give her privacy while she worked through what happened. After the arrest, Artem was released later that same day on $25,000 bail.
Nikki was then seen boarding a plane and not wearing her wedding ring. Now, sources tell TMZ that she has been on the search for a good divorce lawyer since Friday. The source also shared that her intention is to end her marriage to Artem.
While hosting the hot dog eating contest, Nikki also did not wear her wedding ring. Her finger was bare.
According to the report, Artem has not been living at their family home. Instead, he has been staying with friends. She and their son Matteo are still living at their home.
Other Details Of The Domestic Violence Case
Other details surfaced after Artem Chigvintsev’s initial arrest. According to reports, he had made a 911 call asking for medical assistance. However, someone at the residence called and canceled that call saying assistance was no longer needed.
After that happened, police still arrived and he was taken into custody and charged with felony domestic battery. It’s unclear if it was Nikki Garcia who called the police.
The news broke of Artem’s arrest just two days after the couple celebrated their two-year anniversary. Both of them gushed about one another on social media and shared photos from their wedding.
Now, it is looking more and more likely that they will not be celebrating a third wedding anniversary.
