According to In Touch, a source highlighted Alec’s wife Hilaria as the actor’s motivation to look his best for the cameras.

As the source explained, “He can’t go on TV looking like a sack of potatoes, Hilaria won’t stand for it.”

“She’s a tough trainer and has him up at dawn doing yoga and strengthening exercises.”

Other exercises for the actor include “brisk walking on the treadmill and doing sit-ups.”

The source also revealed that Alec is currently under a strict diet, not being able to put sugar in his coffee. His diet also doesn’t allow sweets.

In addition, the source also suggested the pressure might be getting to the 30 Rock star. Reportedly, Alec “wishes he could chow down, take naps and put his feet up.”

However, there’s no such “luck with that while Hilaria’s watching him like a hawk.”

The Rust Trial Likely Impacted Alec’s Health

The source also suggested that the recent trial concerning the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust also impacted Alec’s lifestyle.

“He’s let himself go in recent years, and with the horrendous trial behind him, there are no more excuses,” as the source explained.

Hutchins was fatally shot on the set of the film back in 2021, after Baldwin shot a gun he believed was “cold” while preparing for a scene.

Initially, Alec was charged with involuntary manslaughter. However, the charges were ultimately dismissed with prejudice due to withheld evidence.

The armorer on set, Hannah Gutierrez, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to 18 months in prison.

First assistant director David Halls, after pleading no contest, was convicted of negligent use of a deadly weapon. He was later sentenced to six months probation.

The incident brought about public discussion overs the use of guns and the protocol surrounding them on film sets.

Upon the announcement of the famous actor’s transition into the new show, reality TV alum Jon Gosselin offered some advice to the star and his family.

As Gosselin explained in an interview with ET, “I’d say, ‘Don’t do it. Only because you’ve already made it, you’re like an amazing like award-winning actor.'”

Alec has already made a name for himself from a variety of films roles, including Beetlejuice, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Hunt for Red October, and The Boss Baby films.

Gosselin continued, “I did it for the money in the beginning ’cause I didn’t know how I was gonna support my family.”

“I sometimes have regrets because they [the kids] didn’t sign a contract, I signed the contract.”
