‘Teen Mom’ Kailyn Lowry Shocks Fans With Trauma Dump
Kailyn Lowry decided to take part in the TikTok trend “Trauma Dump Candy Salad.” The Teen Mom star shocked some fans with the trauma she unloaded in the clip, which has gone viral. Keep reading to see the startling things she revealed about her childhood.
Kailyn Lowry Drops A Ton Of Trauma On TikTok
For the TikTok trend, people have been sharing traumatic life events and dumping different candy into a bowl. Usually, it is done with two or more people, but several TikTok users have done it by themselves as Kailyn did.
In her video, Kailyn Lowry got real about some of the sordid details of her past. She talked about being sick, getting kidnapped, experiences with assault, and losing her virginity.
“My name is Kail, and when I was 6 months old, I was kidnapped, brought to Texas, and my mom found me in the hospital with pneumonia,” she opened the video. “And I brought the Swedish Fish.” She dumped the candy in the bowl and went on to the next traumatic event.
The Teen Mom star then said that when she was nine years old she woke up with a “strange man” in bed with her. She told the camera that she had no clue how he got in her bed or who he was. Kail also said she had no idea where he went after that.
At 10 years old, Kailyn said that she walked to her uncle’s house to get food once because she hadn’t seen her mother in days. The trauma didn’t stop there.
When she was 11, Kailyn said that her babysitter did cocaine in front of her. Then, at 14, she “lost [her] virginity on a sidewalk without even knowing what sex was.”
Sadly, it doesn’t end there. She also shared that her mom, Suzi Irwin, told her that “absence makes the heart grow fonder” when she signed over her rights. Kailyn was put into the care of her mom’s boyfriend’s parents. She didn’t meet her bio dad until she was 17 years old.
At 19, Kailyn revealed that she was sexually assaulted by someone she knew. The injuries that occurred from the assault required medical attention. Kail wound up needing to meet with a plastic surgeon. Like many other women, Kail didn’t report the assault because she wasn’t sure if the person “meant to do it.”
Teen Mom Star Oddly Misses Her Mother
In the caption, the Teen Mom star wrote, “My villain origin story.” Since she posted it, it has racked up over 580,000 likes and 10,000+ comments. Fans were shocked by Kailyn’s revelations in the video, with many taking to the comments to express their disbelief.

“I’m jordan and I’m speechless, I brought the popcorn,” one person commented. Another person said she was “traumatized” by Kail’s candy salad video and the Teen Mom star apologized with a laughing face.
One TikTok user wrote, “My name is Jennifer, and I brought the gasps everytime you said something new.”
Several people pointed out how different Kailyn Lowry has made life for her children. They told her that she was breaking the cycle and that she was an “amazing mom.”
As she mentioned in her trauma dump, Kailyn hasn’t had the best relationship with her mother. However, that hasn’t stopped the Teen Mom star from missing her.
Although her mom abandoned her, she has always wanted a mother figure in her life. “[Suzi] was never a mom to me but oddly, yes, I miss her,” she said. “And I say oddly because I’ve always said you can’t miss what you never had. But I want a mom. I wish I had a mom – not even for me. But a grandmother for my kids.”
