‘DWTS’ Season 33: Which Pro Dancers Made The Cut?
As fans wait for news and updates regarding DWTS Season 33, rumors continue swirling that this season will have a remarkably smaller cast.
Many are interested in potential celebrity contestants, including Joey Graziadei and Anna Delvey. But which pro dancers reportedly made the cut?
DWTS Season 33 Features Many Returning Dancers
Nothing is ever official until the full cast list comes out on Good Morning America. However, plenty of familiar faces are reportedly joining the competition this fall.
Jenna Johnson’s hairstylist accidentally leaked that she will be on the upcoming season. More than likely, her husband Val Chmerkovskiy will come back with her. Val and Jenna are sort of a package deal and frequently choreograph group numbers together. On top of that, Val is the reigning champion and always draws in viewers.
In a surprise turn of events, Witney Carson will be back in the ballroom this fall. The mother of two confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing she couldn’t wait to reveal her partner.

In recent years, Witney’s appearances on the show have been pretty infrequent. After welcoming two sons and moving to Florida, family life took priority over dancing. Her best friend and fellow pro dancer Lindsay Arnold is in a very similar situation. Lindsay recently shared she would not return to DWTS, but hinted her youngest sister Rylee Arnold would.
Parade believes that other returning pros include Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, Alan Bersten, Brandon Armstrong, and Emma Slater.
But again, nothing is set in stone until the DWTS Season 33 cast list comes out on September 4.
One New Pro Will Compete As Many Other Dancers’ Fates Remain Uncertain
Several seasoned pro dancers confirmed they wouldn’t return this year. Peta Murgatroyd previously said she wanted to compete but recently changed her mind. She just gave birth in July and wanted to focus on rest and recovering this fall.
Artem Chigvintsev was reportedly not invited to return and was later arrested for domestic violence. After his arrest, it seems unlikely he will return to the show in any capacity moving forward.
The fate of several fan-favorite pros remains uncertain, including Britt Stewart and Gleb Savchenko. Sasha Farber will reportedly still be present in the troupe.
According to leaked information from Cheryl Burke and Kristyn Burtt, former troupe member Ezra Sosa has been promoted to a full-time pro and will receive his first celebrity partner.
