Brittany Cartwright filed for divorce from Jax Taylor on Tuesday. After the news broke, many people started to wonder what would happen with the couple’s joint projects, such as their podcast “When Reality Hits” and the Bravo show The Valley. Brittany recently came forward with news regarding the show and podcast. Here is what she revealed.

Jax & Brittany Will Do The Podcast Separately

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are no longer a couple. The latter filed for divorce on Tuesday after five years of marriage. In court documents, she listed the official date of separation as January 24 and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

Apparently, Jax was served the divorce papers on camera. Now they are working to untangle their joint ventures, like their podcast.

On the Friday, August 30 episode of “When Reality Hits,” Brittany addressed concerns about the future of the pod. “Moving forward, Jax and I will be doing the podcast separately,” she said.

The Valley star continued, “Thank you all for the support. I love you very much and I hope you enjoy an episode that has some of our best memories together from the past. Just hang in there with me.”

Friday’s podcast episode was the first time Brittany addressed the divorce publicly. “I unfortunately can’t speak to details since everything has been heavily documented on the show since we happen to be filming right now,” she tearfully said.

Brittany continued, “You will see how everything plays out once the show airs, but I will say this: this season has been the most difficult season I have ever had to film. I never imagined I’d go through something so personal and painful while having the world watch.”

Brittany Cartwright Denies Divorce Is Publicity Stunt

Some people have accused Brittany Cartwright of filing for divorce as a “publicity stunt” in hopes of improving ratings for their Bravo show. However, she has adamantly denied those accusations, stating that it has taken her “many, many years to get to this point.”

She went on to say that the relationship was toxic and she had to build up enough courage to leave. The Valley star said that she is focusing on her son, who is her motivation for pushing through. Brittany is also seeking sole physical and legal custody of their three-year-old little boy, Cruz.

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright first got together in 2015 before tying the knot in 2019. They got hitched in Brittany’s home state of Kentucky and welcomed Cruz in 2021.

The couple first confirmed their separation earlier this year on the podcast. They shared that they were living in separate homes for the time being. Brittany previously opened up about the “last straw” for her. During an argument, Jax screamed at her for several hours before she decided to pack up herself and her son and leave.

Fans will get to see the divorce play out in The Valley Season 2, which is expected to return to TV sometime in early 2025.
