‘Big Brother’ Tucker Reveals What Attracts Him To Rubina
Tucker Des Lauriers went home last week on Big Brother. He was one of the more controversial figures in this season of the reality TV show. However, viewers loved seeing his “showmance” with Rubina Bernabe unfold. Since leaving the competition, he has opened up about what attracted him to Rubina. Here’s what he revealed.
Tucker Ends His Time On Big Brother With A Kiss
The Big Brother contestant spoke to Us Weekly on Friday following his eviction from the house. When asked about his relationship with Rubina, he said, “She is so unapologetically herself. I love watching her be her. She’s as loud as me, which is a very attractive personality trait to me.”
He continued, “She’s a bundle of joy … but she can be very serious. She’s always been there for me when I needed somebody, regardless of how much I was trying to cover it up. She’s very empathetic and observant.”
On top of that, Tucker said that Rubina is “absolutely gorgeous inside and out” and her “personality is top tier.”
Viewers got to see Rubina and Tucker start flirting with each other. Eventually, they turned into a couple in the Big Brother house. Right before Tucker exited the house on Thursday, they shared a passionate kiss.
In regards to his relationship with Rubina, Tucker said that it was “sketchy” at times. You never know if someone in the house is using you or not. After all, everyone is trying to win the $250,000.
Rubina wound up being one of three people who voted to keep Tucker in the house, but it wasn’t enough to save him. He had a huge target on his back after publicly calling out his alliances.
Rubina & Tucker Might Pursue Their Relationship Further
That said, Tucker is hoping their romance goes beyond the Big Brother house. “I’m at that age where I’m looking for a life partner, and I’m always scared to take that risk,” he said.
“All my friends know I don’t go out looking for that stuff; I go out to be with my friends and I wait for that fairy fairytale thing when two paths cross,” Tucker continued. “This is a very beautiful, lovely feeling. And I hope it goes where we both want it to go.”
However, the logistics of that happening are going to be tough to figure out. Tucker lives in Brooklyn and Rubina resides in Los Angeles. Outside of the Big Brother house, they live two completely separate and different lives.
That doesn’t stop Tucker from thinking it’ll work out though. “After having conversations with her, it’s more exciting versus nerve-racking,” he said.
Rubina is sitting on the chopping block this week. Quinn Martin chose her, Angela Murray, and Kimo Apaka.
A new episode of Big Brother airs tonight at 9 p.m. EST.
