Kevin Costner Shows Up In ‘Yellowstone’ Season 5B Preview
The final part of Yellowstone Season 5 is close to arriving. While the fans awaited the final part of this season, most people were talking about Kevin Costner. The actor was the show’s main star, but he did not return. This caused a lot of controversy, and now things are confusing. Costner was part of the trailer for the final episodes.
Here is a look at the latest Yellowstone teaser and what Costner did in it.
Yellowstone Season 5B Teaser Arrives
When Yellowstone Season 5B began filming, word hit that Kevin Costner was not returning. Costner said he had fulfilled his contract, and the delays made it impossible for him to return to finish. He said he could show up to shoot limited dates to explain his exit, but Taylor Sheridan rejected the idea.
However, the new teaser has Kevin Costner in it. Much of the footage with Costner is from older episodes. However, at the same time, it also starts off with him doing the voice-over. Of course, his lines are also from older episodes.
The trailer starts with Costner’s John Dutton saying, “Legacy. We build something worth having. Somone’s going to try and take it.” Costner is front and center when he says that, and then the trailer moves on to show several other characters.
This includes Kayce saying he is doing something, not for the ranch, but for them (meaning him and Monica). There is also a moment where Beth Dutton shoves Sarah up against a wall, and it seems like things are about to get violent. It seems like the next few episodes will be very exciting.
It also is likely that Costner’s John Dutton will not be in the final episodes, regardless of the trailer including him. The best bet is that John will end up killed, probably off-screen.
Is Yellowstone Really Ending?
There are also some huge rumors coming out lately about Yellowstone. There are spinoffs already around and another one is coming with Michelle Pfeiffer in the lead role. However, there are new rumors that the original series might return for a Season 6.
Paramount+ canceled Yellowstone around the time that Kevin Costner and Taylor Sheridan had their falling out. However, it sounds like Season 5B might not be the end after all. Recent rumors indicate that Kelly Reilly (Beth) and Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) are in talks to headline a sixth season of the show.
This means John Dutton’s story might be ending, but there are now characters who can carry the story on in the original Western series.
