‘GMA’ Robin Roberts Emotional, Missing From Show
Robin Roberts has been missing from Good Morning America this week. She is approaching a major milestone in her marriage and has been emotional. So, what’s going on with the GMA fan-favorite and when will she be back? Here’s what has been revealed.
Robin Roberts & Amber Laign Approaching Marriage Milestone
The GMA co-host and her wife, Amber Laign, are coming up on their first wedding anniversary on September 8. They dated for 18 years before tying the knot at their home in Connecticut. Many of Robin’s ABC colleagues were present as well as other friends and family.
With their milestone anniversary coming up in about a week, Robin Roberts is taking some time away from her post on GMA. It seems to also coincide with the Labor Day holiday.
She’s not the only one missing from Good Morning America either. George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan are also cashing in on some vacation this week. Rebecca Jarvis, Whit Johnson, Gio Benitez, and Linsey Davis are all filling their seats on the morning show in the meantime.
Recently, the GMA trio has taken a lot of time off. Robin Roberts jetted off to the United Kingdom earlier this month with her wife to see Taylor Swift perform at Wembley.
Michael Strahan has taken a significant amount of time off to tend to his family. His daughter Isabella was diagnosed with a rare type of brain tumor last October. In July, she announced that she was cancer-free, but the ordeal took Michael’s attention away from GMA for the better part of a year.
George Stephanopoulos also has two daughters who have taken him away from the morning show recently too. He took his daughters back to school, with one child going to Brown and the other headed to Vanderbilt. Afterward, he and his wife, Ali Wentworth, spent some time in their luxurious vacation home in the Hamptons.
Amber Laign Stays Busy With Her Own Business Venture
It is assumed that Robin and her wife Amber are soaking up some extra time together before their anniversary. However, Amber Laign has been keeping busy. She has been sharing information about her company Plant Juice Oils on social media.
In a recent post, she shared a video of herself walking into the frame of the camera. She wrote over the clip, “That feeling when you remember to do ONE thing off your mental to do list!”
The caption provided more details about how Plant Juice Oils can help your focus and mental clarity. Amber spoke about how women going through menopause often suffer from memory loss, but pointed out there are ways to “train your brain.”
Her wife’s colleague Rebecca Jarvis took to the comment section and joked, “Yes!! If only AI could just do them all.”
Amber Laign and Robin Roberts went on a blind date 19 years ago. They celebrated the 19th anniversary of their first date last month. The couple kept their relationship under wraps until 2013.
Robin came out in a post on Facebook and shared that she was in a long-term relationship with Amber. Then, in 2023, Robin proposed to Amber and they got hitched shortly after.
