‘DWTS’ Artem Chigvintsev’s Domestic Violence 911 Call Released
Professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev was arrested on domestic violence charges this week. Dancing With The Stars fans felt stunned, as well as Artem’s friends and castmates.

TMZ Reports Artem Chigvintsev Tried To Take Back The 911 Call
New details are coming out about the professional dancer’s arrest. Artem was allegedly the one who called for emergency services, as per new reports.
“Artem Chigvintsev — now accused of felony domestic violence — himself called 911 after he allegedly battered someone in his home … and minutes later he called back to call it off,” TMZ shared on Instagram.

TMZ reports that Artem Chigvintsev was the one who called 911 after the alleged domestic violence situation took place in his home. He reportedly panicked over injuries the alleged victim, who still hasn’t officially been named but is widely believed to be Nikki Garcia, sustained. Just minutes later, he called back and asked emergency services not to respond after all. The reported victim in the situation never called 911 at all.
It’s not currently known what exactly happened, but in the 911 call, Artem initially requested medical assistance because Nikki was throwing shoes at him as per TMZ. Listen to a portion of the 911 call on the publication’s website.
Paramedics and fire personnel returned to their stations. However, it’s still protocol for police officers to follow up on the situation. TMZ reports that police discovered injuries on the reported victim, which triggered an automatic arrest for Artem Chigvintsev.
The Russian dancer was reportedly in a foul mood after Dancing With The Stars chose not to invite him back for Season 33. It’s not currently known if anything else contributed to the outburst and subsequent brawl.
Nikki Gracia Asks For Privacy Amid Her Family’s Situation
There are still many unknowns about the unfolding situation, but it’s certainly a devastating time for everyone involved. Nikki Garcia broke her silence today through a personal representative.
“This is a private matter, and Nikki asks for privacy for her and her family at this time,” the rep told several media outlets, including TMZ.
