‘Yellowstone’ Uncanceled? Looks Like Season 6 Is In The Works
Could Yellowstone be back for Season 6? Although Paramount had announced that the series that once starred Kevin Costner was canceled, the news is that it is now uncanceled.
An industry publication has shared information that Taylor Sheridan’s fan-favorite series will be back for another season.
Here is the latest information on this surprising story.
Yellowstone Is Coming Back For Season 6 With Familiar Faces
It looks Like Yellowstone fans are not saying goodbye to this Taylor Sheridan Western in November. According to industry publication Puck, the series is uncanceled. Best of all, they are going to film Season 6.
The publication revealed that original show members Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser will be leading this series into a new season. However, there is no information on any other OG members coming back. It could be assumed that there would be more.
Most of all, this is a huge shocker to many. That is because there were rumors that Kelly and Cole were going to join Michelle Pfeiffer’s Yellowstone spinoff The Madison.
Even before that, there were rumors that the actors who portray Beth and Rip were going to star in the Matthew McConaughey series 2024. However, despite rumors that this was a go, the Dallas Buyers Club star never signed on for this Taylor Sheridan series.
Although the Matthew McConaughey spinoff was all based on rumors, 2024 was not a rumor. The network had announced that spinoff, along with the news that with Season 5, Part 2, this would be the end of the OG. But, they did not announce any stars. It was assumed that Kelly and Cole were going to be part of this, as well as Luke Grimes.
Then again, TV Insider reported back in March that Kelly Reilly was dismissive of the various rumors.
There are discussions, you know. Don’t believe everything you read. It’s just nonsense.
Therefore, whether there will be a continuation of the original series or a spinoff, fans will want to see a formal announcement and hope that the network doesn’t jump the gun and make promises they cannot keep.
When Will Spinoff Come Out?
Right now, Paramount has not made any sort of announcement on Yellowstone Season 6. However, if they plan on continuing, it seems likely that this announcement will be soon.
Yet, assuming that they undo the cancelation of the series, they will likely want Season 6 to air late in 2025. The long delays are never good for the momentum of the series.
