Is DWTS Season 33 going to have a much smaller cast than usual? According to one insider, that’s most likely the case. Nothing is official until the cast list comes out next week, but fans are preparing themselves for fewer episodes and a smaller talent pool.

An Insider Gives Fans The Scoop On DWTS Season 33
The official DWTS Season 33 cast list comes out on September 4. So far, Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik is the only confirmed cast member. Rumors indicate that execs are scouting talent from Bachelor Nation and other Olympians, but nothing is set in stone yet.
But according to one source, this could be the smallest cast that Dancing With The Stars has seen in several years.
On Reddit, one Dancing With The Stars fan shared a new TikTok from reliable insider, Krystin Burtt. She typically teases casting information well before the cast reveal, but this year appears different.
In the video, Burtt reveals the cast will likely feature 10-11 competing couples and she remains hesitant to leak anything further than that.

In the comments, Burtt revealed that the small cast size is a result of budget cuts. Unfortunately, this news also means many fan-favorite pros likely won’t receive an invitation to compete.
It’s not currently known which pros made the cut, but Rylee Arnold has been strongly hinting she’s back in the ballroom this year.

Overall, Redditors didn’t seem to have a problem with a smaller contestant pool. However, they also requested to see more behind-the-scenes packages and other opportunities to get to know the cast.
