Val Chmerkovskiy & Jenna Johnson Take Son On ‘Perfect’ Trip
Dancing With The Stars Season 33 is just a few weeks away. Reigning champion Val Chmerkovskiy and his wife Jenna Johnson are enjoying time together as a family before the competition begins.
The competition season is grueling and doesn’t leave pro dancers with much downtime. Val and Jenna take their baby son everywhere with them, including work projects. But even so, they wanted to ensure he had a great end to the summer.

Val Chmerkovskiy & Jenna Johnson Enjoy Some Fun In The Sun
Summer might be winding down, but the Chmerkovskiys are soaking up every possible opportunity to enjoy each other and see the world. Recently, the trio traveled to Turks and Caicos with some extended family.
Val and Jenna love being part of a big happy family and wouldn’t dream of planning their vacation with anyone else.
“Family is everything to us. The chance to celebrate and relax in the gorgeous Turks and Caicos with Rome and my parents is truly a gift,” Val shared with PEOPLE. “My parents love our son and love spending every possible minute with him.”
Traveling with a baby can be challenging, but the Chmerkovskiys say little Rome is used to it by now.

“We travel quite a bit for work and we’ve taken Rome everywhere with us. He’s quite a traveler already and we feel very comfortable with him coming along,” the couple shared. “We didn’t want parenthood to stop us from enjoying ourselves, it’s just now we enjoy ourselves with Rome. It’s the best.”
Without a doubt, Rome Chmerkovskiy will grow up having phenomenal memories of seeing the world with his parents. Val and Jenna noted they wanted to explore Jamaica with him next, but that trip will probably have to wait until next year.
Will The Chmerkovskiys Be On Dancing With The Stars This Fall?
According to insider Krystin Burtt, DWTS Season 33 will feature a much smaller cast than previously expected. Sadly, this means many fan-favorite dancers probably won’t return.
So far, Val and Jenna haven’t confirmed nor denied their involvement. But Jenna recently confirmed they’d return if invited.
“I don’t know yet,” the 30-year-old told PopCulture about her status on Season 33. “But I would absolutely love to return to this season. I think it’s a gift and an honor every single time you’re asked back as a professional on the show. So I still get butterflies while waiting for the call, so hopefully, I’ll find out soon.”
The full cast list comes out on September 4, so fans won’t have to wait much longer for answers.
