Popular ‘Lost’ Star Headed To ‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff ‘The Madison’
While Yellowstone is coming to an end, the franchise rolls on. With Kevin Costner not returning to finish out his role on the hit Western series, several huge names have signed on for the spinoffs. Now, the most recent announced spinoff has just signed a former Lost star, who will return to star alongside Michelle Pfeiffer.
Here is what we know about the latest Yellowstone spinoff series, The Madison.
Lost Star Headed To Yellowstone Spinoff Series
There have been some major stars lining up to star in Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone franchise. Kevin Costner was the biggest star from the original series. However, 1883 saw Sam Elliott and Tim McGraw as the leads. 1923 got even bigger with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.
Now, it looks like the next spinoff, The Madison, will have the biggest all-star cast yet. Michelle Pfeiffer also signed on. Now, anther beloved actor has joined the cast, and that is Lost alumni Matthew Fox.
Fox played Jack on Lost, one of the main leads of the fantasy series about people stranded on a deserted island. Fox was also one of the lead stars in Party of Five, where he played Charlie. However, Fox took a break from his acting career in 2014 to spend more time with his family. He was gone until 2021 when he got a role in Last Light on Peacock.
Fox said at the time that he thought he might never act again. Now, he gets to join one of the most successful TV franchises airing today. Fox, 58, will star as Paul, “a self-reliant bachelor who loves the outdoors” (via PEOPLE).
What Is Yellowstone Spinoff The Madison About?
The Madison is the third Yellowstone spinoff and will follow a New York City family living in the Madison River valley of central Montana. According to the synopsis, it is a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection.”
This was originally thought to be the show that Matthew McConaughey was signing on to star in. However, that will instead be 6666, which is a spinoff that has not been officially greenlit but is reportedly moving forward.
Instead, this series got its first big news when Michelle Pfeiffer signed on to produce and star in the series. Pfeiffer, 66, was the big name (ala Kevin Costner) that the series needed. Also joining the show are Patrick J. Adams (Suits), Beau Garrett (The Good Doctor), Amiah Miller (My Best Friend’s Exorcism), and Elle Chapman (A Man Called Otto).
The original Yellowstone series starts its final run of episodes on November 10, and there are only six remaining in that series.
