Has Scott Disick Turned Son Mason Against Kourtney Kardashian?
Kourtney Kardashian has been catching some heat online recently because fans think she is excluding her son Mason Disick from family activities. However, the truth might be that Mason doesn’t want to be around her and his dad Scott Disick could be the reason why. Scott and Mason have developed a closer bond recently and it seems to be directly impacting his relationship with his mom. Here is what has been shared about Mason recently.
Kourtney Kardashian & Scott Disick’s Parenting Style
Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian had a fairly rough relationship. Her ex didn’t always treat her the best, but now he seems to be using their son as a weapon against The Kardashians star.
Mason Disick has always been close to his mom Kourtney. It is well-known that Kourtney practiced attachment parenting with her children. This is a parenting style that focuses on communication and closeness. While many people think that this parenting style leads to spoiled kids, Mason has been anything but that.
However, now that Mason is entering his teenage years, it seems like his feelings toward his mom are starting to change. The 14-year-old seems closer to Scott than Kourtney at this point in his life, and Scott Disick isn’t afraid to flaunt their bond all over social media.
Mason Disick Asked For Privacy, Doesn’t Apply To Scott
At the same time, Kourtney Kardashian has previously shared that her son has asked for more privacy when it comes to posting online. She has left him out of family posts more recently to honor his wishes.
Mason is generally tired of being in the spotlight. He doesn’t appear on The Kardashians very often. Kourtney’s son has also been wreckless on social media in the past. He previously took to TikTok to dish out details about his aunt Kylie Jenner’s relationship with Travis Scott.
While Kourtney has done her best to respect Mason’s desire to back away from the spotlight, the same rules don’t seem to apply to his dad.
Fans seem to love seeing Scott be able to step into a more involved role. In one post, Scott shared a photo of Mason sleeping next to him on a plane. One follower commented, “So he agrees to travel with scott but not kourtney, most likely because scott isn’t overdoing PDA with a gf all the time yikes.”
There have also been whispers about Mason potentially moving out of Kourtney’s and in with his dad. Kourtney has said that Mason is still living with her and Travis, but that could potentially change in the near future.
Kourtney Kardashian’s ex is fairly involved with his kids. Prior to her falling head over heels in love with Travis Barker, they saw each other a lot and had a close relationship. Once Travis came into the picture, Kourtney started to push Scott further away.
A split like the one between Kourtney and Scott can be incredibly hard for kids to deal with. Now, it’s possible that Scott Disick is trying to engineer things to put him in a better light when it comes to his kids, the public, and Kourtney.
