‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff Welcomes ‘Suits’ Fan-Favorite Actor
Yellowstone fans have a lot to look forward to in the near future. The final episodes of the original series are set to premiere in November. Now, news about the cast for the Yellowstone spin-off The Madison has been revealed. Suits star Patrick J. Abrams is among the stars who will act in the new show. Here is what has been revealed about his role.
Patrick J. Abrams Joins Cast Of The Madison
It was announced on Tuesday that Patrick J. Abrams has joined the cast of the Yellowstone spin-off. The 42-year-old actor is best known for his role in the USA Network show Suits where he plays Mike Ross.
In the highly-anticipated Yellowstone series, Patrick will portray the character Russell McIntosh. The character description says that Russell “has followed the life path set before him from the start.”
Since Suits came to an end in 2019, Patrick starred in the limited series Plan B. He also made his debut on Broadway in Take Me Out.
The Madison is the first sequel of the wildly successful Paramount show Yellowstone. Creator Taylor Sheridan is also working on the show. Its description says that it will be a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection.” The Madison follows a family of five who move away from New York City to Madison River Valley in Montana.
Yellowstone Spin-Off Has Star-Studded Cast
It has also been reported that Michelle Pfeiffer will be on the cast of the Yellowstone spin-off.
“Michelle Pfeiffer is a remarkable talent who imbues every role with emotional depth, authenticity, and grace,” stated Chris McCarthy, president of Showtime & MTV Entertainment. “She is the perfect anchor to the newest chapter of the Yellowstone universe, The Madison, from the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan.”
Yellowstone fans couldn’t help but show their excitement about the 66-year-old actress joining the cast. “Has she ever given a bad performance? I’ll definitely watch it,” one person wrote on X. Another said that were eager to see her “shake things up.”
Michelle is also serving as an executive producer on the show.
Other stars who have been named on the cast list include Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, and Kurt Russell. Production for The Madison is supposed to start later this month and will potentially be ready to premiere in 2025.
Paramount announced another Yellowstone sequel called 2024. However, it is believed that the network changed the name to The Madison. Initially, Matthew McConaughey, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, and Cole Hauser were all supposed to be in the cast.
As of now, the network has not confirmed if 2024 was ditched for The Madison or not.
The final episodes of the original Yellowstone series are set to air later this year. Season 5, Part 2 will premiere on November 10 at 8 p.m. EST on Paramount Network.
