Singer Opens Up About New Single

Speaking about the inspiration behind his brand-new single, Huntley said: “A lot of promises that you have in life don’t really always meet expectations.” Huntley’s new song is definitely a sad ballad that will hit listeners in the feels. So, it makes sense that this was the kind of headspace he was in when he wrote it.

The singer went on to add: “I went through a lot of things while I was on The Voice. I happened to go through a lot of up and downs in a relationship that I was in. When I love, I love wholeheartedly, and it’s really hard for me to give up on something just because of differences.”

These are certainly themes that Huntley touches on with this new track, and themes that will surely resonate with his listeners.

Elaborating more to PEOPLE, the singer said: “There’s just time to walk away from a relationship when it gets to a point where you’re coming home every day and you’re kind of losing a piece of yourself — and each person knows it.”
