Lala Kent Reveals Update On Katie Maloney Friendship
Lala Kent of Vanderpump Rules is opening up about her friendship with Katie Maloney and how things are going. Fans watched these two not get along last season and it sounds like things aren’t getting any better for them.
Lala Kent Talks Close Relationship She Used To Have On Show
Lala opened up about her friendship with Katie on her podcast “Give Them Lala.” These two used to be really close, but that isn’t the case now. Lala said, “They all have a really special place in my heart. I had a really fun time with Ariana [Madix] when I first was on the show. Katie, my friendship with her [during] season 10, I thought that that friendship was really on point. When I think back, I’m like, ‘Wow, even though it was a hard time in my life, that friendship really got me through a tough time in my life.”
Lala went on to reflect on having some really fun times with Katie Maloney as well. That just isn’t the case anymore.
Why Aren’t Katie Maloney And Lala Friends Anymore?
Lala Kent shared that she just doesn’t have things in common with Katie anymore. Lala is now a mom of her little girl Ocean with another daughter on the way. Katie is divorced and living the single life. They just aren’t in the same places in their lives right now. Lala doesn’t seem upset about it all and is just living her life. She went on to say, ““I think that that’s totally OK. I have nothing but fond memories of that friendship. I have nothing but fond memories of the friendship I had with Ariana and Doute. But people change and move on.”
Katie Maloney seems a bit more upset about it all. She spoke out not long saying:
“Once you violate my trust like that, it’s very hard to come back from. Trust is the most important thing to me. And when you try to manipulate me with that and use it against me and say we talked about these things. Those weren’t the kind of conversations that were meant for the camera. Not everything is. … I’m allowed to have some kind of privacy and talk about emotions with people. I do with my mom, I do with other friends.”
