Michael Strahan Sends Sophia Back To College

GMA fans noticed that Michael Strahan wasn’t at his spot behind the desk Monday morning. The 52-year-old host took the day off to focus on his daughter Sophia.

He shared on social media that she was starting her sophomore year at Duke University. Michael took some time off to get her settled in on campus.

The NFL player’s ex-wife Jean Miggli shared a selfie with Sophia on Sunday. “With my girl Sophia at Wrightsville Beach!” she captioned the post. “Tomorrow headed to Duke University to start sophomore year.”

Fans flocked to the comment section to share their well wishes with Sophia for her next year in college. “Sophia is smart, kind, and a beautiful person. I’m sure she’s rocking it at Duke!” one person wrote. Another commented, “So exciting. This will be a great year for all!”

Sophia Has Been A Supportive Sister

Sophia posted an update of her own recently. She shared some pictures of her last getaway before she headed back to school. “Home for the weekend,” she wrote in the caption. The photos showed her posing with a horse as well as a candid picture of her mom.

In the comments, her twin sister Isabella poked fun at Sophia. “Cute, you used my horse for a prop,” she wrote. Isabella is headed back to school at The University of Southern California.

As fans know, Isabella has been battling a brain tumor for much of the past year. In July, she shared the fantastic news that she is now cancer-free.

“Everything was clear. Cancer-free and everything is great. I don’t have another doctor’s appointment until October,” she revealed on her YouTube channel. “I miss my doctors already and everyone who’s helped me because they’re all so nice.”

Throughout her sister’s battle with brain cancer, Sophia did everything she could to show her sister support. She attended a Shave and Buzz event held at Duke, raising money for young adults battling cancer.

In January, Michael Strahan’s daughter shared some sweet words about her sister. She wrote on Instagram, “I’m so lucky to have the most amazing sister and best friend in the world. The last few months have been so much harder than we could have ever imagined, but it’s made me realize just how strong you are. You inspire me and I’m so proud of you. Us forever.”
