Later in the clip, Olivia Plath explains the word “ho” was created to be derogatory, but she is using it in a way to reclaim her independence. That’s all my choice.” Her friend encourages her to “break the seal” and get out there. Furthermore, Olivia agrees she needs to see what is out there. Her friend comments, “This is good tea.” Olivia jokingly responds, “Herbal or verbal?” Her friend giggles and says, “Both.”

  1. I think it’s sad and hurtful that she’s advertising her ho phase in such a derogatory way. It’s fine to do what she thinks is best for herself but how hurtful to Ethan.
