“We were and still are heartbroken by Matthew’s death, but it has helped to know law enforcement has taken his case very seriously,” Morrison said (via THR). Morrison, known for his work on Dateline NBC, also said, “We look forward to justice taking its course and we’re grateful for the exceptional work of the multiple agencies whose agents investigated Matthew’s death.”

What Is Next In Matthew Perry’s Death Case?

Matthew Perry’s case has opened up a lot of eyes into what might be a widespread drug ring going on around Hollywood. One of the people arrested, Jasveen Sangha, was nicknamed the “Ketamine Queen.” She was held without bond. One of the guilty parties said she supplies to celebrities and other wealthy individuals.

Erik Fleming, an acquaintance of Matthew Perry, pleaded guilty to one count each of conspiracy to supply ketamine and the distribution of ketamine leading to death. He then testified that he got the ketamine from Sangha.

Dr. Mark Chavez, a physician in San Diego, also pleaded guilty and has offered to give all evidence and reveal everything he knows about the widespread dealing of ketamine and how it led to Perry’s death. Finally, Kenneth Iwamasa, who was Perry’s assistant, pleaded guilty to buying the ketamine and injecting Perry with it on the day of his death.

However, the biggest criminal charges are coming for Sangha and a doctor named Dr. Salvador Plasencia. It was Plasencia who sold the ketamine to Perry, to begin with. After that, the actor moved on to buy from Sangha when he felt he needed more. Despite all the other guilty pleas, Plasencia has pleaded not guilty, and Sangha is awaiting her hearing.
