‘The View’ Sara Haines Absent From New Season, Why?
The View has been on hiatus for the summer. Season 27 came to an end the first week of August and now fans are patiently waiting for the next new episode. The next season of The View will look completely different because it will be taped in a new studio. Some familiar faces will be missing from the discussion table as well. Here’s why.
The View Takes On A Whole New Look For Season 28
There have been plenty of rumors about the future of The View. When they come back for Season 28, the network may be making some difficult decisions about what’s next for the show. The stars on the talk show and its regular audience are all getting older. So, the show needs something to make it interesting again.
Next season, The View will be broadcast live from an all-new location. They said goodbye to the old studio at the end of Season 27. On September 3, when the talk show returns to television, it may look completely different.
Before the start of the new season, The View will be holding a special Rehearsal Show. This show will help the ladies get used to some of the things that might have changed with the new studio like how sound tests and various procedures.
For this show, producers need a live audience. The Rehearsal Show will feature a few hot topics and they need a test audience to view the show. It takes place on August 29. Tickets are on sale now.
Sara Haines & Others Will Be Missing From The First Show In New Studio
The website reads, “The View is officially moving into its brand new and state-of-the-art studio and we need YOU to be our ‘test’ audience.”
It continues, “You will check in, experience our glamorous new holding space, and watch as our Emmy award-winning directing team sculpts what you watch on TV. This taping will not feature our cohosts, but there will be hot topics!”
A few of the ladies won’t be present for the first show at the new studio. Sara Hainer, Sunny Hostin, Whoopi Goldberg, and the rest of the cohosts won’t be present for the first taping in the new location.
At the end of Season 27, Sunny Hostin talked about leaving the old studio. Many of her cohosts were sad to leave after being there for 10 years. After all, they shot 2,143 episodes in that studio. In a way, it was a second home for the women.
Each of them was a bit nostalgic. Sunny spoke about having to pack up their dressing rooms and how saying bye to the studio was emotional for each of them.
The View airs on weekdays at 11 a.m. EST on ABC.
