Olympian Giving Her Biological Mother The Cold Shoulder?
Simone Biles’ biological mother, Shannon Biles, recently spoke candidly to the Daily Mail about the strained relationship between her and her daughter. Shannon gave Simone and her other children up due to her battle with drug and alcohol addiction.
Speaking of that difficult time, Shannon Biles said: “It was hard to give up my kids, but I had to do what I had to do. I wasn’t able to care for them. I was still using, and [my father] didn’t want me coming in and out of their lives when I wasn’t right.”

She went on to add: “I would like to make amends with Simone personally – I’m just waiting for her and [her younger sister] Adria. I speak to Adria more than I speak to Simone. I would just ask her to forgive me. Can we move forward? Don’t judge me on my past. Let’s move forward.”
Despite regularly flaunting her wealth on social media, according to her biological mother, Simone has not extended an olive branch of any kind in terms of any financial help. Shannon Biles did say, however, that if her estranged daughter ever offered that help, she would accept it.
Prior to the Paris Games, Simone had an impressive estimated net worth of $25M. This is more than likely to increase following her recent stellar performance. However, whether or not she and her biological parents ever reconcile remains to be seen.

Tacky, hungry, dead beat mother seeks fortun from rich, shallow daughter. Simone is a child in a woman’s body. Her obsession has left her little time for spiritual growth or development of personality.. aside from clichés she has little to say. Another sad example of misdirecting black youth into sports, away from intellectual puesuits. She will mislead many black girls away from scholarly careers. This is a sad aspect of modern black culture, in which intellectual/scholastic pursuit is sacrificed to the pursuit of fame and riches in sport or music. Unfortunately, out of the millions who are thus seduced, only a few succeed, ending up in low playing Jobs for life….no doctors, lawyers, engineers, nurses,teachers produced.

First and foremost, Simone owes her bio mother nothing. Secondly, she’s not coercing or telling young girls not to go to college This is what she chose to with her life. She has a sister who was also in gymnastics, chose to pursue a different career after 10 yrs and was not pressured by Simone to stay in gymnastics. Some will aspire to do it some won’t. It depends on what their parents encourage and support a child in.
Or are people upset now because what was once a predominantly white event is now becoming dominated by black & brown little girls now. Shame on this country

No, Simone was raised and adopted by her grand parents. Her bio mother is a grown woman and has help available. Simone owes her nothing. I am sure they will handle this situation accordingly and prayerfully in privately as they see fit. I’m sure this is not the first time she has not come asking for help from her since Simone has become famous. Simone is not responsible for her mother. She only answers to God. She is only responsible to how the Lord leads her to respond. We are not her judge.
Simone, love your Mom(bio) from a distance, forgive her too but no MONEY, since she say all she wants is a relationship w/u. Simone I have been and still in the same situation and I don’t have millions. I still feel unloved by some family members. God has blessed me to understand even though you feel this way about your mother. GODs commandments say to honor your mother and father, so that Your days will be longer. never forget who gave you your amazing gifts to succeed. God can take you further in life than he already has. Addiction is an illness. when you learn to forgive as God forgave you, your life will reach heights and happiness more than you can imagine. GOD bless you.
I feel this is a personal decision of what choice she decides to make regarding her mother. We cannot judge or tell her the best thing to do. She will know what feels right and when things feel right. She suffered from all of it and she knows how her parents have guided her to be the amazing young woman she is and still will become.
