Kyle Lowder Returning To Days Of Our Lives
Kyle Lowder took to his social media a few days ago to tease his followers about what he was up to. “I’m back in a very familiar place today, and tomorrow, and the next day. Give you a hint — I’m in Burbank at a studio. I’ve been doing this a long time, but it’s been a minute! I’m excited,” he said in a video from his car.
Fans guessed that he was on the lot to film for Days Of Our Lives. The show confirmed the news. Kyle Lowder has popped up on the Peacock soap over the years but reportedly wasn’t interested in returning full-time.
According to Soap Opera Digest, he moved to the Nevada area to be closer to his daughter, Isabella. He shares custody with his ex-wife and former co-star, Arianne Zucker (Nicole.) The two were married from 2002 until 2014. Their daughter was born in 2009. Arianne is currently engaged to Shawn Christian, who played Daniel on Days Of Our Lives.
Kyle Lowder also began a new career after moving to Nevada. He’s the morning news anchor for the CBS affiliate station in Reno, Nevada.
The actor was last seen as Rex when he briefly returned in 2023. Is he returning as Rex or another character?
Is He Playing Brady Or Rex?
Kyle Lowder joined Days Of Our Lives in 2000 as Brady Black. He left the role in 2005, and it was later recast with Eric Martsolf in 2008. But in true soap opera twist, Kyle Lowder later returned to the soap as a recast Rex Brady in 2018. The role was previously played by Eric Winter, who now stars in ABC’s The Rookie.
Sources for the show confirmed that Kyle Lowder is returning as Rex Brady, though some fans wanted him to reprise the role of Brady Black.
Possible Storylines
Viewers won’t see Rex back on TV until the Spring of 2025. His return coincides with Alison Sweeney’s return as Rex’s half-sister, Sami Brady.
The show is keeping mum about the reason for both returns. Some fans are speculating that Rex will once again come between Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander (Paul Telfer.)
