‘The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives’ Introduces Cast Members
From Sister Wives to Mormon No More, there has been a growing interest in the world of Mormonism. Now, an upcoming reality television brings viewers into the darker side of the LDS faith. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives premieres on Hulu in just a few weeks. And already, the internet has some pretty strong feelings about the show.
Meet The Women Of The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives
PEOPLE caught up with the women of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. And this is certainly one dynamic cast.
The publication first introduces Taylor Frankie Paul, a prominent figure in the #MomTok community. In June 2022, she publicly announced her divorce and also touched on their open relationship. Now, she has over four million followers on TikTok.
“I want people to have a better understanding of who I am,” Paul told PEOPLE. “I wanted to be vulnerable and show people that when you hit rock bottom, there is hope.”
Other cast members include Demi Engemann, Jen Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, and Whitney Leavitt. The women range between the ages of 23 to 32 and have vastly different family structures. The women all have children, though some are divorced and others have blended families with their second husbands.
While there is no shortage of reality shows out there, this cast wants viewers to know that they’re different.
“When you see a lot of reality TV, they aren’t really friends before filming the show,” Whitney shared in the interview. “We’ve built a business together and we get to show the world how we did that.”
The Internet Reacts To A New Trailer
As the series premiere looms closer, the stars are sharing more clips from the show.
“Ask and you shall receive, official trailer is out now. #thesecretlivesofmormonwives premieres September 6th only on @hulu,” Taylor Paul shared on Instagram today.
While she and the other cast members of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives seem excited, they’re receiving mixed reactions online.
