Kathie Lee Gifford Brought To Tears Amid Personal ‘Miracle’
Former talk show hostess Kathie Lee Gifford has been struggling with ongoing health challenges over the past year.
As TV Shows Ace previously wrote, she underwent hip replacement surgery. But during the recovery process, she tripped and broke her pelvis. Sadly, she returned to the hospital where she received orders to take it easy.
In recent updates, Kathie Lee confirmed she was in great spirits and feeling better. In an appearance on Today, she came close to tears recalling the miracle that carried her through.
Kathie Lee Gifford Received Serious Injuries In A Fall
Although Kathie Lee Gifford loves staying active, she’s starting to feel her age. She turns 71 this week and admits she needs to learn to slow down.
During a talk with Today, she detailed her serious fall and the miracle that followed.
Falling down the stairs certainly wasn’t in her plans, but the entertainer made it through.
“I went too fast in stupid shoes and I went tumbling,” Kathie Lee remembered the incident. She described moving around her farm on her walker. It wasn’t an easy process, but she miraculously realized that she wasn’t in any pain. “I had a cracked pelvis but I was in no pain at all. I called my doctor and said, ‘Shouldn’t I be in a lot of pain?’ and he said, ‘Yes, you should. It’s been two weeks!.'”
The former Today hostess revealed she had another X-ray recently. Astonishingly enough, her doctor revealed that her pelvis was perfectly healed.
“He said, ‘You are cured. You are healed. It is a miracle,'” Kathie Lee excitedly shared. “When that happens to you, you have to give credit and glory to all the prayers.”
The Entertainer Relied On Her Faith To Carry Her Through The Darkness
Kathie Lee Gifford is a deeply spiritual woman, so she credited her faith and God for helping her through this trying time.
“I sob when I think about the people that have reached out to me and prayed for a speedy recovery That’s just about as speedy as it gets,” she continued, on the verge of tears. “If people are out there looking for hope, waiting for their miracles, keep waiting guys. God hears your prayers and he knows what you’re going through. I am deeply grateful and still pray for all the friends and loved ones in my life who have not received their healing yet.”
