It’s not a stretch to say that Blake Shelton’s life changed drastically when he met and fell for Gwen Stefani. Not only did he eventually gain a wife, but, he also stepped into the role of being a stepdad to her three sons. Recently, an insider dished on how that role has changed the country singer.
Gwen Stefani Was A Packaged Deal For Blake Shelton
As longtime Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani fans know, the pair met as judges on The Voice. They also met at a time in their lives when they were going through messy splits. They were there for each other to lean on as they were going through their respective situations. This eventually blossomed into more.
Of course, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton getting together meant that Blake would be joining an established family unit. Gwen has three kids with her ex, and if Blake was going to be a part of things for the long haul, not only did he have to take on the duties of husband to Gwen, but also, stepdad to her three kids.
Insider Dishes On How Being A Stepdad Changed Blake
Of course, being both a husband and a stepdad comes with big shoes to fill. Luckily, Blake Shelton was the right man for the job, and he has really stepped up to the plate over the years to be there for both Gwen Stefani and her sons.
Recently, an insider close to the situation dished on how taking on the role of a stepdad has changed the country singer over the years. The insider said: “Those boys lean on Blake and depend on him.”
Speaking to Life & Style, the insider continued, saying: “Being a stepdad has taught Blake a whole lot. It’s a role he’s grown into and takes seriously and says it’s changed him for the better. It’s been a thrill for Blake, too.”
Blake Shelton Teaches Gwen’s Kids About The Country Way Of Life
It’s no secret that before Gwen Stefani got together with Blake Shelton, she was all about the posh way of life, including all the glitz and glam. Since being with Blake, she has opened up to the country way of living, and it’s something that Blake has been able to share with Gwen’s three sons, too.
Speaking of being able to teach Gwen’s sons about the country way of life, Blake Shelton said: “Whether it’s music, whether it’s literally getting out, getting their hands in the dirt or being out on the ranch, seeing the animals, whatever, you know?”
Blake said that taking on this role has changed him “in every possible way.” From the looks of it, everyone seems to be better off because of it.
