Bachelorette Divorce Gets Expensive

Rachel Lindsay thought she found the one for her in Bryan Abasolo. He was one of her suitors on Season 13 of The Bachelorette. They got engaged during the season finale.

After a two-year engagement, they tied the knot in a destination wedding in Mexico in 2019. But after four years together, Bryan Abasolo filed for divorce on January 1, 2024, citing December 31, 2023, as the date of separation.

He filed paperwork in May 2024 requesting emergency spousal support in the amount of $16k. When the judge finally ruled, the amount was cut down to $13k.

But now Rachel Lindsay’s ex claims he needs more.

Bryan Abasolo Demands More Money

New court documents obtained by In Touch reveal Bryan Abasolo isn’t happy with the 13k in monthly spousal support. He claimed via his lawyer that his monthly bills total $24,569.

The chiropractor further claimed that he couldn’t hire the necessary legal help because he couldn’t afford it. He asked the judge to award him access to the $35,000 in shared marital funds.

He previously asked the judge to force Rachel Lindsay to pay his legal fees totaling $70,000. However, the judge denied that request when ruling on the emergency spousal support issue.

Instead, Rachel Lindsay was ordered to pay $15k in her ex’s lawyer fees.

Rachel Lindsay Slams Ex’s Request

After the initial divorce filing, the former couple vowed to be respectful and remain friends. However, that vow has clearly been thrown out the window. She allegedly called him a vile name over text. He went public with intimate details about their marriage, including his ex’s struggle to conceive.

Via her lawyer, Rachel Lindsay accused her ex of trying to relitigate an issue that the judge already decided on when she was ordered to pay $15,000 of her Bryan’s legal fees.

“It is not so simple as cutting Bryan yet another check to quell his unending need for cash. Just as he could not expect never-ending funds from Rachel during their marriage, he cannot expect her to hand over every dollar he demands of her now.”

Rachel Lindsay’s response revealed that she had to fire her assistant to be able to pay the $13k in spousal support.

What do you think of her ex demanding even more money from her? Sound off in the comments.
