Tammy Slaton recently took to social media to share some exciting news with her fans. She has been nominated for “Reality Queen” at the 11th annual American Reality Television Awards. The 1000-Lb. Sisters star shared a video highlighting the accomplishment. However, fans couldn’t help but notice that it looks like she’s dropped even more weight. Tammy Slaton Shares Big News With Fans On Social Media
In the clip, Tammy Slaton is seen smiling ear to ear with “Livin My Best Life” by Dylan Scott playing in the background. She moves to one side and reveals her nomination for “Reality Queen.” The TLC star lip syncs some of the words to the song playing and then excitedly points to the background.
Tammy shared the link for the voting website in the caption, asking her followers to “Please go vote.”
Clearly, Tammy is excited about the possibility of receiving an award for her work on 1000-Lb. Sisters. Fans couldn’t help but notice her massive weight loss though. They took to the comment section to not only congratulate her on the nomination but to also offer kudos for her hard work in losing weight.
One TikTok user wrote, “Looking beautiful Tammy, Keep up the good work.” Another fan chimed in, “You are inspiring so many!!” A third person told Tammy she looked “fabulous,” while multiple others informed her that she had their vote for “Reality Queen.”
Tammy Slaton updates her social media regularly, favoring TikTok. Her last update came on August 3 when she shared a look at her new haircut. The 1000-Lb. Sisters star opted for a shorter pixie-style cut. Once again, fans couldn’t hold back their love for Tammy in the comments.
The 1000-Lb. Sisters Star Has Made A Huge Transformation
That said, not everyone on the internet has kind words for Tammy Slaton. On the TLC show, she hasn’t been the most easy-to-love character over the years. Viewers have chimed in from time to time about her actions in the earlier season of 1000-Lb. Sisters. Tammy hasn’t let the naysayers get to her though. Her overall transformation has made her more confident and she often slams haters online.
While it’s true that she struggled to find the motivation for weight loss for several years, Tammy has definitely made a lot of positive changes in her life. Since the TLC series made its debut in 2020, she has lost more than half of her body weight.
Her highest weight was 725 pounds. At one point, doctors were concerned Tammy would lose her life after contracting COVID. Now, she’s lost more than 440 pounds, and the transformation has been nothing short of amazing.
