‘Sister Wives’ Meri Brown Breaks Silence On Kody & Robyn
Meri Brown was the first of Kody Brown’s wives. For years, the Sister Wives star seemed to be a third wheel in her own marriage to Kody. That increased when Robyn Brown came into the picture. While the two women tried to act like they had a great relationship on the TLC show, things were much different behind closed doors. Now that Meri has stepped away from the family, she is opening up about the family drama and what she really thinks about Kody and Robyn. Here’s what she had to say.
Did Robyn Brown Really Want Meri To Stay?
On the show, Meri and Robyn Brown often teamed up with each other against the other two wives, Janelle and Christine Brown. However, this was only because Robyn was leading Meri to believe they were friends.
Recently, Meri Brown sat down for her first interview since she fled Arizona for Utah. She spoke on The Sarah Fraser Show about her relationships with the other wives. More specifically, she talked about Kody’s fourth wife, Robyn, and how she wasn’t everything she portrayed herself to be on television.
The host asked the Sister Wives star the questions that fans have been asking since the Brown family dissolved. This included details about how Robyn Brown reacted to the other wives leaving.
In Season 18, fans saw Robyn practically begging Meri to stay. For viewers, it was fairly obvious that Kody hadn’t wanted Meri around for a while. He cites the whole “Catfish” incident as the reason why his relationship with Meri went downhill, but others think Robyn is the real reason they are no longer close.
Considering the question, Meri Brown said, “I don’t know. I don’t know; I think that she did want me to stay. I feel like she was sad. I feel like she had this idea when she came into the family of, you know, this big plural family. I really think that.”
Sister Wives Star Stays In Touch With Kody & Robyn
The Sister Wives star also said she felt like the way Kody and Robyn acted toward her on the show was genuine. In the end, she said that their feelings were not “matching up either. I got that from Kody, too. You know, it’s like things, there was a lot of confusion.”
On top of that, Robyn Brown was constantly using her tears as a weapon in conversations. If things weren’t going her way, she would just start crying and walk away.
That said, Meri Brown is still in contact with her estranged sister wife, and husband. “I’ve seen them on occasion and talked and texted a little bit, but it’s not, you know, I’m in this place where I’m moving forward with my life,” she revealed. She’s not seeking them out, but she hasn’t cut them out of her life completely either.
Of course, Meri never really gave an upfront answer to any of the questions asked. Despite breaking her silence, she still didn’t provide any real answers about what happened in the family. However, many of her answers point to Robyn entering the polygamist marriage with the intention of eventually getting Kody all to herself.
Either way, Sister Wives star Meri Brown isn’t letting it bother her anymore. It’s clear she’s moved on, and so have the other wives.
