‘Tracker’ Season 2 Losing Regular Cast Member
Tracker is returning this fall for Season 2. There were lots of questions about who might return with Justin Hartley. However, those questions concerned the actors who played his brother and sister and were guest stars. Now, there is word that one of the regular cast members is someone who fans should have been worried about losing.
Here is which regular cast member is leaving Tracker Season 2 and what we know about the departure.
Tracker Losing One Of Its Stars In Season 2
Tracker is returning for a second season, with Justin Hartley still leading the way. However, one of his fellow regular cast members is not returning. According to reports, Robin Weigert will not return as a series regular for Season 2 (via TV Line). The news doesn’t say if she will appear in a recurring or guest role.
Robin Weigert co-starred as Teddi Bruin in Season 1. She was one of Colter Shaw’s handlers. Interestingly, Abby McEnany, who plays Teddi’s wife (and Colter Shaw’s fellow handler) Velma, will return. While nothing has been confirmed about what is happening to Teddi, Showrunner Elwood Reid said that Velma will take “on a very interesting role with something that was hinted at with Reenie’s character in the final couple episodes” of Season 1.”
Teddi and Velma helped Colter track down cases each week in the first season. The other cast members included Eric Graise as Bobby, the computer whiz, and Fiona Rene as Reenie, an attorney.
While there is no word on what is happening with Teddi, the hints suggest that something big will happen to her or her relationship with Abby. It might not be surprising to see Teddi disappear, and Colter has to look for her like he does other people to help Velma.
Tracker Will See The Return Of Colter’s Brother & Sister
Tracker follows the novel by Jeffrey Deaver (The Never Game) about Colter Shaw, “a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country as a reward seeker, using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries”
The show also featured Colter’s estranged brother Russell and sister Dory. The actors in those roles, Jensen Ackles and Melissa Roxburgh will return in small guest roles. Both actors have new TV shows coming soon, and that limits the time it takes to appear on Tracker.
Tracker will premiere on CBS this fall on Sunday, October 13, at 8/7c. This is premiere week on CBS and includes the season premiere of NCIS and the series premiere of NCIS: Origins.
